Quercitin (+ Zinc) Question?
Me | Today of course | Me

Posted on 08/13/2020 9:58:06 AM PDT by Bob434

A few Quesitons about Quercitin if anyone knows the answer

1: Does a person have to take it (Along with Zinc of course) regularly to get protection?

2: Can a person take it like say in the morning before they have to go to hospital, or to health center, or to store where there are apt to be a lot of folks and be protected for that day? (And maybe take it several days after to be sure? thinking of high risk folks with health conditions)

3: The reason for the questions is because someone has kidney damage, and apparently Quercitin can aggravate that condition? If so- they probably shouldn't take it continually? Some sites say don't take if you have kidney damage

Here's a few other 'all natural' Zinc Ionophores that folks might be interested in checking out

‘AeroNabs’ Promise Powerful, Inhalable Protection Against COVID-19

-----------"As the world awaits vaccines to bring the COVID-19 pandemic under control, UC San Francisco scientists have devised a novel approach to halting the spread of SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes the disease.

(Note, not sure if this is a zinc ionophere- i don't think so- but it could be a breakthrough medicine for covid- perhaps other viruses as well)

Led by UCSF graduate student Michael Schoof, a team of researchers engineered a completely synthetic, production-ready molecule that straitjackets the crucial SARS-CoV-2 machinery that allows the virus to infect our cells. As reported in a new paper, now available on the preprint server bioRxiv, experiments using live virus show that the molecule is among the most potent SARS-CoV-2 antivirals yet discovered."

This is a simple inhaler, or nasal spray too- once a day- and could, according to the scientists, possibly stop Ovid from infecting replicating in people- meaning they could get back to work, and not have to be bound by mask mandates

---------Hesperidin (Said to work better than quercitin by some)-- also might wanna add ECGC with it- you can get it on amazon- supposed to help quercitin

Is hesperidin essential for prophylaxis and treatment of COVID-19 Infection?

https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/32531538/

(Same questions would apply to this- can it be taken just on the day of contact with others?)

-----------Virocin Another Zinc Ionophore

-Is a natural Zinc Ionophore (Zinc Transporter) -Utilizes the proven ability of Quercetin (having no toxic side effects of other ionophores) -Actively transport the body’s natural zinc reserves across the cell membrane and into the cell where it can be far more effective -Enables zinc to assist and support the body’s natural immune system, far more effectively

The Japanese Alternative to Hydroxychloroquine: Zinc + Hinokitiol

"Much of what makes Hydroxychloroquine effective in combination with Zinc is believed to be its Zinc Ionophore capability. That is, the ability for Hydroxychloroquine to transport Zinc into cells and inhibit viral replication. Hinokitiol is also a Zinc Ionophore and was discovered in Japan in 1936. Hinokitiol is naturally occurring and draws its advantage from having low toxicity, hence, its wide inclusion in consumer oral care products."

lol.

yes, glycinate which I recommend, is the same as bisglycinate. Get the brand Vital which is glycinate and malate. You’ll want to build your dose to 6-8 per day, taking only 2 at a time. So, breakfast, lunch and then dinner and/or bedtime

If you have prostate problems (such as chronic prostatitis) querictin is your friend. I take 2 a day, and take a clear liquid zinc sulfate solution (also good for the prostate). It has no taste, unlike the tablets that leave a metallic aftertaste and dull your tastebuds.

EGCG has caffeine, so you may not want take it at night. I take it in the morning and quercetin at night. It seems from all the studies I read, EGCG is more powerful. Here are some links:

I take this brand. I specifically use this because it says it is more bioactive (greater absorption). I generally take one a day, two if I think it's helping me during fall allergy season.

Thanks, I had forgot about steroids (and inhaled corticosteroids) being used for covid too- but these are hard to get- docs really hate handing out steroids-

From the link:

“Not recommended: Hydroxychloroquine (HCQ). The use of HCQ is extremely controversial.[33]The best scientific evidence to date suggest that HCQ has no proven benefit for post exposure prophylaxis, for the early symptomatic phase and in hospitalized patients. [34-39] It should be noted that these studies did not include Zinc, and it is possible that the efficacy of HCQ requires the co-administration of Zin”

Well yeah, HCQ is a Zinc Ionophore - HCQ enables the Zinc to cause the virus to not be able to replicate- HCQ alone won’t do the trick from everything I’ve read- a medical site should know that-

Gonna take me soem time to read through hte rest of the link- lots of info there-

I’ve been taking 500 mg/day Quercetin with 50 mg zinc since mid March. Spoke with my doc at my annual checkup and his observation was:

1) this probably won’t hurt you any (and so far, so good)

2) you do realize that there isn’t a shred of real data that this will do you any good at all.

(He’s a real “RCT is the only science” kind of guy, but otherwise OK.)

Has it happens, this is pretty much what Dr. Zelenko thinks might be a workable pre-exposure prophylaxis dosing if HCQ is not available for political reasons.

I have quercetin, ecgc, and four forms of zinc (two different pills) on the shelf. I take them once a week with an elderberry extract chaser. Plenty of D and C. I also have some old azithromycin I didn’t use from a trip to Mongolia. Also have some nicotine patches. Lots of quality tonic water.

If symptoms show, I’m doing it all as I call the doctor for HCQ.

Thanks, We’ve been taking zinc for awhile now- apparently it takes some time for it to build up- hard to absorb or something- we take the lozenges-

My doctor(s) are very similar. One only seems to want the FDA seal of approval on anything I bring up. I have to bite my tongue to avoid getting political. Then I do what I want anyway!

LOTS of FR threads/posts have been made regarding the Quercetin/Zinc protocol.

We’ve been taking it for months....since March...and, pretty much follow Dr Zev Zelenko’s suggested regimen.....

Here’s a previous thread, about this, by Mrs Don-o...

Dr. Zev Says! YOU CAN PREVENT COVID INFECTION. Let’s tell everybody.
