Spoke with my doc at my annual checkup and his observation was: 1) this probably won’t hurt you any (and so far, so good) 2) you do realize that there isn’t a shred of real data that this will do you any good at all.

My doctor(s) are very similar. One only seems to want the FDA seal of approval on anything I bring up. I have to bite my tongue to avoid getting political. Then I do what I want anyway!

Heh...much the same here. Heck, if there’s an actual FDA treatment/therapy for something, I’m all in. But in the absence of that, well, as long as something isn’t doing harm, I might try it.

In the same conversation, he said “would you consider some homeopathics?” I actually laughed and replied to the effect “Dude, talk about something that by definition not only doesn’t work, but can’t work! It’s so dilute that there’s actually none of the purported active ingredient in a dose”.

And his reply was that “yeah, that’s the point, it’s totally safe, since it’s just pure water.
