Patrick Rooney, Founder of Old School, laments the slide of heroic white, conservative men into "grumpy old men."
Meanwhile, it is often taking black men, black women, and black woman IMMIGRANTS to inspire new blood into the movement, too often leaving "grumpy old men" in the dust.
One of the reasons for the existence of Old School is to "teach old dogs new tricks"to re-inspire "grumpy old men" to return to being the "happy warriors" of old. It is not too latefor grumpy old men or America!

Says the guy from California.... thats rich.
It seems “grumpy old men” (and grumpy young men, for that matter) are doing more to preserve liberty than many American “men” are, “men” who remain hidden and compliant behind their face diapers since March ... and certainly more than the federal government which remains mute, obviously still scared senseless of “the virus”, in fear of racists and terrorists (BLM and antifa, respectively), and terrified of the evil Democrat/Left.
Absolutely INSANE, BobL, that people on “our side” would think this way. Besides, Justice Roberts was appointed by BUSH, what’s that have to do with Trump?
Well, believe it, higgmeister, we all fall short in some areas, even you, believe it or not.
Exactly!
“Absolutely INSANE, BobL, that people on our side would think this way. Besides, Justice Roberts was appointed by BUSH, whats that have to do with Trump?”
Thanks. They almost seem like trolls saying that, and, in fact I did a bit trolling on the other side saying why I thought Jill Stein was a better vote than Skunk Cabbage. But they’re long-time FReepers, and just mad as hell...so probably not. They desperately want the country fixed, but they simply out of patience.
I’m just trying to make sure others here fully understand the implications if they’re considering ‘making a statement’ by voting Third Party.
Every 2 years the conservative wing of the GOP is besieged by the moderate and liberal wings to quit making demands that candidates be *ahem* conservative. This is more of the same.
We are always better off without that sick pervert.
Trump is VERY conservative in an old school Republican kind of way.

LOL! Get on outta here with your self-important, self-righteous pablum.
Conservatism is in the process of throwing off globalism and libertarianism ( free trade, massive immigration, off shoring etc. ). So Conservatism is schizophrenic at this point.
Get off my lawn
Aw shut up with your ignorant and false accusations. Take your arrogant self down a notch or two, would ya? You might have something to contribute here, but it’s wasted because of your self-important, self-righteous attitude.
Great story - thanks for sharing.
In fact, its unrecognizable. And it has happened on our watch. Which makes me not only grump, but, a bit edgy......
You have a different definition of conservative.
I like him because he is pro business, strong defense, and a pain in the ass to the left.
But his stances are middle of the road GOP, not strong conservative.
Thanks, BobL, understood
Thanks - for our side, it takes at least 6 conservatives for us to control the Supreme Court, since so many of the judges on our side simply ‘wander off the reservation’, for God knows why, on particular cases. For the Dems, all they need is 5 on the Supreme Court, and they will win every case.
So, for 6 conservatives, we’ll win 85% of the cases (with 5 conservatives, maybe 50%). To get close to 100%, we need a minimum of 7 conservatives. What angers me is that people on our side cannot seem to understand this simple math, and, instead are ready to give the Democrats EVERYTHING, because we’re still losing cases with 5 Republicans (with some being semi-conservatives).
It’s not hard. If we can ever get to 7 Republicans, we’ll do just fine...and win nearly all those cases, as Roberts, plus even a second showboater, can vote with the Dems, but we’ll still have our 5 votes. If we get to 8 or 9, then we can likely TOTALLY REFORM the federal government, and make it 75% smaller, with the government forced to finally follow the Constitution (thereby eliminating huge parts of federal spending).
...but none of that happens if our side sits out this election.
