Thanks, BobL, understood
Thanks - for our side, it takes at least 6 conservatives for us to control the Supreme Court, since so many of the judges on our side simply ‘wander off the reservation’, for God knows why, on particular cases. For the Dems, all they need is 5 on the Supreme Court, and they will win every case.
So, for 6 conservatives, we’ll win 85% of the cases (with 5 conservatives, maybe 50%). To get close to 100%, we need a minimum of 7 conservatives. What angers me is that people on our side cannot seem to understand this simple math, and, instead are ready to give the Democrats EVERYTHING, because we’re still losing cases with 5 Republicans (with some being semi-conservatives).
It’s not hard. If we can ever get to 7 Republicans, we’ll do just fine...and win nearly all those cases, as Roberts, plus even a second showboater, can vote with the Dems, but we’ll still have our 5 votes. If we get to 8 or 9, then we can likely TOTALLY REFORM the federal government, and make it 75% smaller, with the government forced to finally follow the Constitution (thereby eliminating huge parts of federal spending).
...but none of that happens if our side sits out this election.
