Contact tracing has been here for 50 years. Get over it already.
The US has done contact tracing for decades for various diseases and it’s nothing like what’s described in the article. There are a bunch of different CDC resources and guidelines for how to do it. Basically, if you test positive, a contact tracer will ask if you’ve had any recent extended contact with persons outside your household (for example, if you attended a party at someone’s house or hung out with a friend). If you choose to provide contact information for individuals, they’ll contact them and tell them they’ve been exposed to someone (they can’t say who) who tested positive. As a result, it’s recommended they get tested as soon as possible and isolate themselves for a few days while monitoring for symptoms.

And here’s what they say about what happens if someone who tests positive says they were hanging out with you: “Contacts are provided with education, information, and support to understand their risk, what they should do to separate themselves from others who are not exposed, monitor themselves for illness, and the possibility that they could spread the infection to others even if they themselves do not feel ill.”
Nothing in there about locking people up or tracking peoples’ movements or any of the rest of this conspiracy theory nonsense.
This is what is done in an epidemic. It was done decades ago and people were legally and forcefully quarantined in their homes. It isn’t the end of the world.
Without doubt this whole thing is being handled for political gain but even in flu outbreaks people don’t attend rallies and die like Herman Cain did. Attended the rally on June 20, sick less than two weeks later and then dead in four weeks.
Same goes for the current rise in infections, July 4 and then the riots and shortly after a huge increase in sick people and then deaths. Not what happens with the flu. This isn’t the flu.
You can turn off Tracing on your cell phone.
OK, so we have this crazy, intrusive way of keeping all sorts of people from kicking up trouble for the state, and in the meantime, we don’t have ready access to HCQ for early-stage cases. Oooooooo-K.
Sooooooo, will they be able to tell when I break quarantine if I leave home without my cellphone, and I don’t wear my Garmin watch when going on a run? It’s not as likely I would pass it on to somebody outdoors, as long as I kept my distance, anyhow.
Don’t worry, if I’m asked to quarantine, I won’t go to a restaurant or grocery store, since I already have some extra food tucked away, and I can send my cat off to board at the vets for the time being. But please don’t expect me NOT to get out into the sunshine from time to time, unless I develop actual symptoms.

What we really need to worry about is bioterrorism. This stuff is being planted. It has to be. Trump has cancelled convention. The demon-rats have not and don’t seem to be the least bit worried about it. Look at the whole picture. Pelosi’s “scarf masks” do not protect her. Why is she not worried about catching it?
The demon-rats are only focused on controlling the masses and killing Trump. And I believe they would if they could. Along with this, they are allowing the killing of America, American cultured and the American spirit.
Android updates failed on our POS made in china cellphone 3-4 updates ago. That means google can’t push the contact tracing app on us.
Contact tracing, this late in the game, is beyond useless. Heck, by the time we realized it was here it was already too late.
Contact tracing, much beyond patient zero, is a fools errand.
This is why a LOT of Chinese people got rid of their cell phones during this pandemic.
