On Sunday, a gunman shot and killed the son of a federal judge in Newark, New Jersey, at the familys home, and shot and injured her husband in the same attack.
The judge, Esther Salas, 51, was at home at the time of the shooting but was not injured, and her husband, Mark Anderl, a 63-year-old attorney and former Essex County assistant prosecutor, is reportedly in stable condition.
Officials believe the gunman who opened fire Sunday, killing Salas 20-year-old son and injuring her husband, had been dressed as a FedEx employee, The Associated Press reported.
Unidentified law enforcement officials told ABC News on Monday that the gunman who shot and killed Salas 20-year-old son and injured her husband Sunday night has committed suicide.
Officials did not immediately confirm the report.
According to ABC News, the man was an attorney had a case before Salas in 2015. Additional details were not immediately available.

The New Jersey Globe described the suspect as a disgruntled attorney who had appeared before U.S. District Court Judge Esther Salas.
Investigators have not released a possible motive or said who they believe was targeted. But North Brunswick resident Marion Costanza, who lives near the family, told The New York Times that Salas previously had voiced concerns that her high-profile cases could put her at risk.
In 2014, Salas sentenced Real Housewives of New Jersey stars Teresa and Joe Giudice to prison time following their conviction on fraud charges, the AP reported. She also has presided over a lawsuit against Deutsche Bank alleging that the company made false and misleading statements about its anti-money laundering policies and failed to monitor high-risk customers, including convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, according to the AP.
This is a developing story. Red State Nation will provide further updates as more information becomes available.
The gunman was a 72 year old glawyer. Not exactly a henchman.
Requires dexterity.
Just like Epstein! What a coinkidink!
Corona strikes again
How convenient........
If you are going to start shooting when you get to the house, shoot everyone. Shooting the 20 year old kid was a bad mistake.
But did he drag his own lifeless carcass over to a secluded wooded area and played down in a neat chalk outline?
HEAVY says the shooter is Roy Den Hollander
Someone needs to take Maxwell’s affidavit now. It will preserve her testimony if she’s murdered, and at least somewhat decrease the chance that she’ll be killed.
Doesnt make sense.
He wants revenge on a 50 year old female and opens up on two males?
yea right this is just the kiddie findling perverts covering their tracks.
Suicide?
LMAO...
Apparently, he was on Never Trump Cavuto’s fox show some years ago.
New meme:
Killer of Judges Kid on the Epstein Case Didnt Kill Himself.
The Epstein nuts won’t accept this.
This has been festering for a hearing for the last 5 years
Maybe that set Roy off, but still don't know why he didn't kill her?
TEXT ORDER: Text Order: Due to unforeseen circumstances, the oral argument scheduled for June 25, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. is cancelled without new date. The Court will rule on the papers in due course. So Ordered by Judge Esther Salas on 6/18/2020. (ek)
A couple of years ago a Houston cardiologist was murdered in broad daylight on a busy street by the son of a woman that died under the doctor’s care years before.
But this person (the judge) had little to do with any of the pedo stuff. Her case dealing the DB was as boring as it gets.
This lawyer sounded crazy.
