In 1958 the society issued a special release exposing Shukairy's political background. Our interest in this gentleman stemmed from the fact that, when an emergency session of the UN was convened to alleviate tensions in the Middle East, he "poured scorn on the search for a durable peace and threatened the West with the spectre of war." 

Shukairy summed up the Arabs' bellicose attitude towards the West and staked out Nasser's claim to empire, in a speech whose tone and content were reminiscent of the diatribes hurled against the Western democracies by the Nazi leaders.

In our special release we pointed out that the parallel was not as coincidental as it seemed "for Mr. Shukairy was the right hand man of the ex-Mufti of Jerusalem, Hitler's most cooperative Arab agent." The ex-Mufti was a specialist in organizing pogroms against the Jews and he quickly became a favorite of Hitler. 
During World War II the ex-Mufti utilized Nazi propaganda facilities to incite the Arabs against the Allies.  Mr. Shukairy himself came to the United States in 1945 and established the Arab Office which, for all intents and purposes, served as a propaganda outlet in the US for the anti-democratic Policies of the ex-Mufti. In 1946, Shukairy joined the Arab higher committee which was also headed by the ex- Mufti. Shukairy got his start in politics in the early 1930s when he belonged to a group of fanatical extremists led by the ex-Muftl. This gang cooperated with the Communists and prior to the HitlerStalin Pact sought in every possible way to sabotage the Allied war effort against the Nazis in the Middle East. 
However, when Soviet Russia joined the Allies, Shukairy's group split with the Communists and went all out for Hitler.

ARAB POLICIES
In the 1930's Arab terrorists and “guerrillas” waged a continuous war against Jewish settlements in Palestine : arson , destruction of wells and pipelines, and murder. Then as now, they were part of the apparatus of "Arab liberation."
It was with the active propaganda and financial support of the Nazis and Fascists that Haj Amin El Husseini, Mufti of Jerusalem and Nazi propagandist , advocated mass murder of the Jews . Ahmed Shukeiri, present head of the so - called Palestine Liberation Organization , is a large landowner, an unmistakable heir of the revanchist chauvinism of the pro-Nazi Arab, who dares to proclaim himself leader of a national liberation struggle and offer "support" to the Vietnamese Liberation Front.
One day the head of the reactionary Syrian delegation to the United Nations, another day leader of the Saudi Arabian delegation , on yet another day he heads "guerrilla war" against Israel, a war against individual citizens, with "guerrillas" who never dare attack a military force, a “guerrilla force” which is, in fact, not a guerrilla force at all but a band of mercenaries in the pay of a foreign power, Egypt.

And Nasser ? He has a dream of destruction, a dream which in June 1967 took the shape of a "final battle that will bring Israel's defeat. In this battle the dream of the Arabs to exterminate Israel will come true.”
This "progressive” has spoken of the Protocols of the Elders of Zion with favor, and his government has published a series of National Books, one of which bears the title T.. Human Sacrifices, resurrecting the blood - ritual myth .

Propaganda Masks Objective 
For the truth is that Arab demands for fidelity to the original 1947 partition resolution are for oratory only.
They serve a purpose ; they are intended to tarnish Israel's position with American public opinion. 
But the Arab states haven't the slightest intention of accepting the 1947 UN resolution, even if it were possible to roll back time. 

There is plenty of evidence to demonstrate that they remain intransigent and inflexibly opposed to Israel and will accept no compromise of any kind . Thus , back home , when they are talking to fellow Arabs back home and not to American audiences, Arab leaders have conceded that their exploitation of the Palestine resolution was propaganda shibboleth. 

The former Egyptian Foreign Minister, Dr. Mohammed Salah ed-Din declared in Cairo: "It is neither right nor honorable for Arab statesmen to continue to hide behind those diplomatic answers that they cannot consider peace with Israel until it implements UN resolutions.
The truth is that we will by no means be satisfied by the implementation of the UN resolutions. These resolutions may provide Arab statesmen with clever means of getting out of trouble at the UN or in press interviews, but the Arab peoples are not afraid to disclose that they will not be satisfied by anything less than the obliteration of Israel from the map of the Middle East."

There are many such statements in the record .
The most recent was made at the UN by Ahmad Shukairy , Saudi Arabia's minister of state for UN affairs , who once lived in Acre , and who is one of the most rabid foes of Israel. In a speech before the UN on Nov. 20 , Shukairy spoke as he did ten years ago.
He called for : 1 . The repatriation of the Palestinian refugees ; 2 . Prohibition of Jewish immigration into Palestine ; 3 . Outlawing Zionism ; 4 . The prohibition of Zionist fund - raising campaigns ; and 5 . The creation of a UN agency to help the Jews of Israel to be repatriated to their former homelands. 

On November 20 , King Saud celebrated the fourth anniversary of his accession to the throne by declaring that the Arabs "still face the dangerous and evil threat of Zionism which we should combat with all our powers and potentialities."
He went on to say that Israel "has rallied imperialistic states and plotted and intrigued them against the Arabs in order to achieve its expansionist ambition in the Arab countries and impose upon them its domination and oppression."

He declared that his nation "shall never rest and we shall never have peace in this Arab area so long as this impostor and cancer imperils our existence."
And he demanded that all Moslems "make every sacrifice to uproot this cancer, get rid
of its evils..."

Today the Arabs feel that they can exploit the cold war , that the Soviet Union is committed completely to their cause and will back them all the way.
Since 1949, the Communists have been bitterly anti-Israel and have lavished favor and attention on potential catspaws in the Arab world.
With their support, the Arabs have come to believe that they may ultimately destroy Israel.
... the 1930s when Adolf Hitler rose to power. At that time Arab leaders collaborated with the Nazis in their war against the hated British, and the ex - Mufti of Jerusalem went to Berlin to cooperate with Hitler in his systematic destruction of millions of Jews. Jewish rights in Palestine were whittled away and the West made frantic and futile efforts to appease the Arabs.

Perhaps Arab leaders hope for a repetition of the 1930s . Then they profited by the rise of the Nazis. Now they look to the Russians for support.
