Since when was one of the world’s oldest professions exclusive? It serves only one master and that’s money. Those who possess it and those who can command it have always been welcome. Meritocracy is nowhere more evident than workers in strip clubs.
But now it seems we have “woke” strippers too.
Strippers in Portland took to the streets to demand strip clubs provide cultural sensitivity & diversity training for staff. They also demand “equitable scheduling” for non-white strippers.
“No justice, no booty!” was one of the rallying cries during a PDX Stripper Strike protest on Wednesday afternoon.
About 100 people gathered for the event.
Cat Hollis, the lead coordinator with the Haymarket Pole Collective, which works to implement anti-discrimination policies in the adult industry, delivered letters of demand to both clubs.
“We are not asking dancers to stop working, we’re asking that the clubs sign on and that the rest of the community show their support for this,” Hollis said. “We’re not asking for a boycott, we’re asking you to ask your local businesses what their anti-discrimination policy is and what they’re doing to make things better.”

Not a fan of the business, but it is a business. If you are a good and popular dancer, you get scheduled for the busy time of night. That attracts more and keeps more there to drink and throw money. It is business not politics. Get better in some way and earn the spot.
I’m a bit bummed that CHAZ is being torn down, because before, you could tell people like this to go to CHAZ.
I support autonomous areas where they can do all the “equitable scheduling” they want, but not make any demands on the rest of the US.

Reminds me of the story of the House of ill repute voted for a Union and it was passed and finally went on the ballot and overwhelmingly passed so was enacted into law.
Guy(Pays in advance per law) goes in and asks to see the ‘talent’ and a 90 yo tranny comes struggling out and the guy balks and the manager proclaimed

I already had my fill of ALL PRO SPORTS, took an interest when the Nationals came to Washington but am getting to the point that if they don’t either ‘Schiff or get off the pot’, the activities that I have used to ‘fill the void’ for the first half of the season will just have to suffice.
I am and have been a STRONG PDJT supporter but if he/the govt etc doesn’t do something very positive.
That Tulsa event is/was an example of him ‘slipping’, why allow an INDOOR event at least if it were outdoor they could point out that if the ‘(mostly) peaceful demonstrations’ are allowed etc etc etc.
My question to Congress (AND DCs question) should be why does this statehood for DC thing ONLY come up during R administrations? Like the body count, homeless etc etc, sort of get swept under the rug when Ds have ‘control’.
We recently came off 8 years of a Black President with them ‘under control’ for part of it and then, like the similar Clinton fiasco never ‘heard’ of DC statehood.

The last thing on a guy’s mind when he enters a strip club with a fistful of fives is what the club’s anti discrimination policy is for the meat on the rack.
