This is rather unusual. One would think a governor would be aware that seven blocks in his largest city have been taken over by armed occupiers who have formed an encampment called the Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone. However, when questioned about it, an apparently clueless Washington State Governor jay Inslee says “that’s news to me.”
Note Inslee is not alone in being, well, a little odd. Apparently the bouncy sign language interpreter needs to go pee. WATCH....

I’m sitting on my sofa in S.E. Missouri and I heard about the Capital Hill Autonomous Zone (CHAZ) this afternoon. The governor of the state hasn’t? Well, once he “looks into it” what does he plan to do about it?
The Constitution says that the Federal Government guarantees a “republican form of government” (note the small ‘R’) to all states. The state of Washington now has a section that no longer enjoys a republican form of government. Perhaps FedGov should do its Constitutional duty if the state government of Washington will not?
The state capital is Olympia, sixty miles away from Seattle.
It takes a while for the news to arrive by horseback!

If just one free man with a spotter started taking out the occupiers from a distance, I’d bet the politicians would make it a priority to take that team out as quickly as possible.

it is obvious that this guy has done the political calculus and found out there is NO politically palatable solution to this. SO, the answer is to act surprised when someone mentions it. In addition to providing him time to maneuver and political cover, it gives the appearance of stupidity which causes his enemies to underestimate him. quite a few of which are right here in this thread.
