According to a Washington Post analysis of new data from the U.S. Census Bureau out last week, 34 out of 100 Americans reported symptoms of anxiety, depression, or both in the most alarming numbers to date on the status of the nation’s psyche amid the pandemic over the novel Wuhan coronavirus. Twenty were recorded to show symptoms of each, 10 exhibited signs of anxiety alone, and 4 possessed symptoms of just depression...These new findings, the Post reported, show a dramatic shift in the nation’s psychic well-being from pre-pandemic times with the percentage of those suffering from spiritual distress having doubled from the census survey in 2014.

Well, being out of work, being afraid you or a family member will lose a job, being afraid of not affording all of the new taxes on people with a job to support declining state tax revenues, etc.- all that is sort of depressing.

Well, with a lot of people walking the streets hiding their identity, staring vacantly and distrustful of everyone they see — in essence, looking as though they belong in a sick ward or mental institution — creates an air of fear, oppression and depression throughout the community ... and this is deliberately being maintained by the Democrat/Left to further damage our society, people and our economy for the purpose of stopping Trump’s re-election.

I find I do okay for the most part, but I have noticed many negative changes in the (few) people I come into contact with. This has a been a perfect $#!^ storm for many between worry of disease, everything being closed, job losses, the senseless riots and talk of tax hikes.

Of course most of them do BookFace and Twatter and watch tv so they are immersed in the $#!^ storm all day long. I don't do any of that.

First, dsc, the term “fake news” has come to mean NOTHING around here because as with everything, it’s used all the time now by people who have no clue if the news is real or not.

People have been isolated for 3 months now. How is this a shock?

Red..republicans aren’t immune from trauma in their lives that can cause clinical depression and anxiety.

I’m sure a LOT of the soldiers who suffered brain injuries (10s of thousands) aren’t democrats and i follow this topic closely...many have depression and anxiety.

The loss of a parent when you’re young, the loss of a wife/husband, the loss of a job and savings and the tension of being stuck in with the same people for 3 months can all cause these things also.

Me, I have OCD and I’ll be a son of a b.tch if I know why I HAVE TO look at a light in a room too many times to count sometimes :)

It makes NO sens scientifically as it serves no purpose and it makes no sense mentally as it serves no purpos.

But I will take a quick glance at a lamp or a light in a room a a few hundred times in a few hours on a really bad day lol

Maybe i’m the only nut on the board or maybe others just aren’t as willing to share their flaws.

But it’s easy because we’ll never meet lol
