Former Obama senior adviser Valerie Jarrett talks about the death of George Floyd and what needs to be done to prevent officer-involved shootings in the future.
(Snip)
JARRETT: "... before there were cell cameras, there were examples that didnt get captured on video. And so this is a huge problem of breakdown of trust between police and communities of color.Every black family I know who has a son, worries about how they're going to fare when they leave the house, and now we've seen examples when you dont even have to leave your house and you're put in harm's way. And I think that although I believe in peaceful demonstrations, I think these riots are symptomatic of a boiling over of anger that has been building up for generations, where people have lost confidence that the justice system will actually be just, that the rule of law will protect them.....
President Obama created a 21st Century task force that made very concrete recommendations, Gerry, about how to go about rebuilding that trust...
And so that trust really works both ways and keeps everyone safe. So what I would like to see is a better tone at the top, not one that's threatening violence and using guns to help quell this unrest, but rather constructively sit down and say, what can we do to bridge this gulf?

Her tiresome advice on “better tone at the top” is the same old Obama crap.”””
“Black Faces in High Places” didn’t work, either, you traitor.
The Svengali of the Kenyanesian Usurpation speaks......
Odd. Everything was great before the Obama years.
These riots are nothing more than a pre-planned race war, that everyone saw coming by the way, to get blacks back on the plantation for the 2020 elections.
When people like Bill Cosby, Shelby Steele, Jesse Lee Peterson, Star Parker and many others try to talk sense and constructive living to the aggrieved portion of black Americans, they get all manner of pushback and flack.
Only building from the Obama Presidency
“Act like a decent person, you get treated like one. Act like a gang thug, get treated like one.”
Maybe that used to be true. These days little old ladies get attacked in the streets. In our little village, a little old lady who was shopping got beaten in a Family Dollar for wearing a mask! People attack randomly for no reason. It is crazy.
Nope. They are paid Soros disrupters.
It’s been my experience that mulattos have the biggest chip on their shoulders. Maybe it’s because they don’t really fit in anywhere. Blacks think they are “too white” and whities think they are black. Because of that, they tend to act “more black” than blacks themselves.
For generations!? Then why did not she, as de facto president, do something about it? All the Obama Administration did was cement black people further onto the Democrat plantation. They did nothing to get them out of poverty in any kind of permanent way. Nothing.
No, it is a reflection of the hatred liberals in power have been stoking for the sake of greater power.
This is like college professors who taught kids to hate society as evil and various oppressive tactics getting upset when students turned on them (think Evergreen College). They trained kids to do this but were horrified it was directed at THEM.
You should ask if you can burn his car or smash his cell phone because youre upset about George Floyd, or, well, anything. If he supports the rioters, it would be hard to explain why not, without being a hypocrite.
“beaten in a Family Dollar for wearing a mask!”
I’ve had idiot karens run from me because I don’t wear a mask.
ROFLMAO...going to do it.
No it’s not, it’s a terrorist attack orchestrated by people like Jarrett
Tell us what happens after you did that. I’d like to find out, too.
It was a prison riot fueled by black psychopaths set on looting and destructions.
The mood in the country has changed.
The White Guilt Card is dead.
Nothing.
You think youre mad, Val? We have to work hard and pay for this all ...all while getting crapped on.
