Amy Cooper, a white woman who was publicly shamed and fired by her employer after calling the police on African American birdwatcher Christian Cooper who asked her to leash her dog in Central Park, said her entire life is being destroyed right now. After the immense backlash against Amy, Christian is now saying he is uncomfortable with the response, according to the New York Times.
Its a little bit of a frenzy, and I am uncomfortable with that, he said.

Amy Cooper, a white liberal woman
The liberal is dying by her sword.
Christian (living up to his name) is right but its horrifying to think that an incompetent cop could have shown up on the scene and from the phone call alone used force on him and destroyed HIS life. :(
Are the two related? Cooper Cooper
When Karens Kollide.
Yes he is. Very gracious.
he just hit the video jackpot
This shows a few things, stupidity, arrogance, silliness, and the need to be noticed in all you say and do. Get a life beyond yourself, have some humility, and stay off those websites that broadcast your every thought and move. Get a life beyond your phone.
Common sense is gold these days. Zuckerberg, Dorsey, and other clowns love this stuff, it just adds gas to their platforms and increases viewership. What would happen if everyone had a life beyond these clowns’ websites? They would scream, telling you what their real intent is. Common sense—what a joke!
A bird watcher, in Central Park, IOW, he's a nutjob who feeds and names pigeons?
Oh please
“Christian said he was taken aback by the words and actions of those on social media and Amys employer and thinks that it completely misses the point.
’If our goal is to change the underlying factors, I am not sure that this young woman having her life completely torn apart serves that goal,’ said Christian.”
Christian's sister, not Christian himself, made the posting to social media.
The ancient Greeks had a saying:
“Once they escape the lips, words cannot be recalled.”
A former boss had a series of sayings used to guide his team's conduct. One was:
“Never miss an opportunity to keep your mouth shut.”
If the social media destroyers are starved of material, eventually they will turn on themselves, wither, and disappear.
‘Tis a consummation devoutly to be wished.
LOL...don’t be surprised if this isn’t a Hallmark Christmas movie, this season.
knowledge. it can set you free.
From the NY Times article:
“Mr. Coopers love of birding began at age 10, he said, when his parents, two Long Island schoolteachers, enrolled him in a 4-H program. There, in a woodworking class, he crafted a bird feeder that he set in his lawn.
The creatures that flocked to it set off a fascination that has endured for four decades, through his time at Harvard, where he graduated with a degree in political science, and into his years as an editor for Marvel Comics, where he is credited with creating one of the first gay characters in the Star Trek comic universe.”
......
“Mr. Cooper, who now works in communications and lives on the Lower East Side, has fed his passion with birding trips to Central Park and around the world, and he is on the board of the New York City Audubon Society.
He has developed a virtuosos ear for their birdsong, and can identify them by chirp. (Theres a myth that I have the best ears in the park, he said. Its a myth.)
Thanks proxy_user.
The Ramble in CP is known as one of the best birding spots in the United States. People go there from all over the world. It has a clearly posted leash rule for dogs because of the nature watching in that specific area.
Some of us love birdwatching whether or not you are informed or like it yourself.
This man goes there regularly. I get that. Sorry you dont.
When two jerks collide
I’m surprised that PETA didn’t flame the hell out of her after the way she jerked that poor dog around.
