They need to have better mental health checks in law enforcement. And bad seeds need to be weeded out through training. Too many disturbed people are let in. One example is one too much. This is abhorrent.

This is why I can't wait to retire from policing. Out of the millions of daily interactions between cops and citizens that are positive and come off without a hitch, this interaction is the one people will remember and by which they will judge all officers.

This cop will likely face charges, as he should. But the Eric Garner case didn't lead to charges, so who knows?

The good news it that both the victim and officer were wearing their face masks. Now if one of them wasn’t, then I’m sure the crowd would have gotten involved. We’re all in this together. Except for the boot on the neck part that is.
