How does a campaign take a 77-year-old man - who admits he needs his granddaughter's help with his cellphone and pitches himself as sober and reasonable - and make him go viral?
That perplexing challenge has become a consuming focus of Joe Bidens campaign as it tries to finally up its digital game to compete against a challenger who not only understands intuitively how to generate clicks and buzz - but boasts a massive and sophisticated digital operation to amplify his message.
So far, Bidens paltry digital team of about 25 people has decided mostly to eschew the combative fare preferred by the presidents campaign in favor of uplifting content designed to inspire. The rub, as no one understands better than Trump, is that the social media platforms - and the algorithms that power them - reward bombast and conflict. Amid the collage of newly published saccharine videos posted on Bidens Facebook page, its the Trump-bashing ones that usually have the most views.
But Biden's campaign is betting that its strategy - which reminds one of Upworthy, the go-to site for feel-good news - has the benefit of being true to Biden and more effective in creating a core of enthusiastic supporters online.

Biden memes go viral all the time.
Creepy Joe came in fifth in New Hampshire. Why the RATs went with him I suspect is connected to the fake impeachment.
You mean, how to make Biden go viral in a good way
And not Senile and Radical? Sorry, those boats have sailed long ago. Biden has signed on the Green New Deal to shutdown the US Economy and he can't remember which state he's in nor whether he is still running for "US Senate".
Quite honestly, they can’t. Sleepy, confused Joe can’t get anyone excited. Their only hope is the VP candidate. Now is a good time to come out with a short list to help garner interest. And then whittle that down a couple of times gaining interest each time. They could play it like “the Bachelor”. It sounds funny but that’s their only chance to get interest in the campaign.
Have him fall off a stage like Bob Dole.
That’ll go viral!!
Call Howard Dean. Yeahhhhh!!!!
Get and KEEP him viral until after the nomination
Then inoculate the HELL out of voting Americans
Killin me.
The memes about him are endless!!!
Their actual problem is to ensure he DOESN’T go viral.

It’s not about the vehicle. It’s about the content. What has he accomplished in his 80 years of living off of taxpayers that’s worthy of going viral?
Have to make him sane first. Well, maybe not.
lol Like with hillary the idea is to hide him.
that didn’t work too well for her
They took his driver’s license away from him a couple years ago...
