...Amash has a long record of supporting government intervention to facilitate transgenderism. He once voted to appropriate taxpayer dollars from Christians and other Americans so military personnel could have their genitals mutilated:...Amash announced his presidential campaign last week, likely an effort to sabotage President Trump in the key battleground state of Michigan. But with Amash going around promoting trannies, he may pull more liberal voters than conservatives.

That’s a libertarian?? Hmm... I don’t know if that’s a libertarian.
Now, why should FEDERAL TAXES pay for sex change operations? If you want it pay for it yourself, not pay for it with my money. Sheesh...
That is not Fiscally Conservative thinking... Waisting money on sex changing isn’t FISCALLY CONSERVATIVISM, it is FISCALLY LIBERAL!
Justine Amash?
Exactly! Politicians who present as a fiscal conservative/social liberal will always drop the conservative part to spend money on liberal social causes. In other words, they are dishonest; they claim fiscal conservatism to get elected.
That would explain a lot about Amash.
Back when he was first running for office (if memory serves, it was around that time) I was behind him at the left turn arrow, southbound, Breton Ave at 28th St. He had the top down, blonde in the car.
Remember when anyone who criticized this douchebag on FR was accused of being part of the GOP-E and how Amash’s groupies would swoon over his “Tea Party” credentials and “House Freedom Caucus” leadership? My how things have changed around here!
More like, we try to give people the benefit of the doubt.
Nope, more like Amash was hailed as a Tea Party savior here and his treasonous votes placing him on the same side as Nancy Pelosi, Planned Parenthood, the Muslim Brotherhood, etc., etc. were swept under the rug for years, or excused away as “gosh darn, you guys don’t get it, he’s ONLY voting that way for CONSTITUTIONAL reasons”.
Anyone who questioned the “Amash is a patriotic constitutional conservative” narrative and argued otherwise was swiftly attacked on here, accused of being a puppet of the “GOP establishment”, and demonized for saying we could do better in that district. Oh, and of course, we hated the Constitution and the founding fathers.
Would you care to revisit numerous threads where that happened?

So, Amash is just an alternative Democrat candidate? Im good with that.
A fad, that will quickly fade. Nothing based upon principal.
Been 4 years since Cripplecreek posted. Was not a Trump fan.
Oh, yeah. At least that one disciple apologized and realized he had been had.
And the irony is I was a die-hard Ted Cruz voter til the bitter end, but Amash apologists accused me of being a blind Trump fanboy when I criticized Amash for joining the RATs “impeach Trump because we don’t like the election results” folly.
How ‘bout some of the cretins who called me a Willardbot or Huckster flunky ?
So you can’t be Libertarian in social issues and fiscally Conservative? Why not? I think it can be done...
