Whoopi Goldberg defended House Speaker Nancy Pelosi after an attack ad juxtaposed her comments about stalling small business funding and her appearance on a late-night comedy show.
Goldberg and cohost Joy Behar appeared to claim that because the ice cream in Pelosi’s well-stocked freezer came from a small business, any argument that she was working against small businesses in Congress was invalid.
Goldberg began by airing the attack ad, which showed part of an interview Pelosi did for “The Late Late Show” with James Corden alongside her comments about stalling Republican efforts to pass a boost to the Paycheck Protection Program for small businesses impacted by the coronavirus pandemic.
“So, I want to point out that the ice cream she’s talking about actually comes from a small business,” Goldberg began. “I know that because I send this ice cream out to people, and she is one of the people that is fighting to make sure that small businesses are able to get the testing they need and the stuff that they need.”
Goldberg then turned to Behar, adding, “So Joy, you kind of feel like she’s being scapegoated here?”
“Of course. But I love that you just said that that’s a small business. That’s perfect,” Behar said, joining Goldberg in defending Pelosi. “You know, the Democrats are, in fact, fighting for more funding for hospitals as well as relief for small businesses for minorities and veterans, okay? That’s what the Democrats are fighting for, so this is just another distraction.”
Behar went on to argue that a similar glimpse into President Donald Trump’s kitchen might net similar results, saying that Pelosi’s only real misstep was in going on a comedy show in the first place.
“And may I just — a little piece of advice to Nancy and all these Democrats, don’t go on comedy shows,” she said. “They’re traps. They’re traps. They get you to say things there because you feel you’re being funny. Leave it to the professionals and don’t go on comedy shows. Come on our show.”

Okay. If she is such a fan of “small business”, why is Nancy preventing shutdown aid from reaching small businesses after ensuring that her crony capitalist and elitist buddies have been slopped at the trough?

The point, Whoopster, is the volume and the price of the product she displayed, not the manufacturer. She had a ton, and the unit price of her ice cream is exorbitant. Most of the plebes that she looks down upon can’t afford that—Breyer’s is a special treat.
You know, some guns are made by small businesses. Is it OK to stock up on those?

Pelosi could have opened her freezer to disclose a bag of meth, a stack of cashed checks from the Chinese Government, and dismembered babies and Whoopi would still cover for her.
And in truth, all of those things can, in a way, be found in Pelosi’s freezer. And Whoopi does cover for those things, too.
So I’ve been reading the comments that this ice cream ‘shop’ has 33 locations and is a 30 million dollar a year enterprise. (Close enough for what follows...)
Something that NO LibTard has EVER been able to explain to me is this: They will support SMALL businesses with their dollars, but not BIG businesses.
Do they stop shopping at a place when the owner is SUCCESSFUL and grows their company into an awesome enterprise that gives a good product and great service? What’s the dollar limit? When a ‘small business’ earns 500K a year? How about $1 million? Do they STOP doing business with them at that point, even if they LIKE the product and the service and the price?
Not a ONE can ever tell me at which gross-earnings level a small business becomes a big business and I need to start hating/shunning/bitchin’ about them! How much success gained via blood, sweat, very lean years, debt and tears IS too much success?
It must be EXHAUSTING in the mind of a Lib to keep all of this stuff straight! Nope! Cant buy THAT anymore because that company is TOO successful! I need to shop a smaller store with fewer choices, lesser quality and bad service!
