The plague that has shut down the entire world by keeping people hostage in their own homes is, as President Donald Trump calls it, an “Invisible Enemy”. “Invisible” in the respect that all of those who count on gaining from it, are no longer visible anywhere in the flesh, but waiting it out from the safe distance of the virtual world where they can be only be seen digitally.
Having hoarded ice cream and plenty of chocolate, they wait out in lavish comfort for November 3, 2020, in an election that Barack and Michelle Obama promise to make a total mail-in vote for two-term former Vice President Joe Biden.
Everyone has always said that Republicans are too comfortable to make a populist revolution in the United States.
Well, guess what?

The idea is for people to live in high density housing near mass transit hubs to decrease car travel, share resources etc...
This epidemic is due to urban living and mass transit.
The American way of single homes spread out over larger area is obviously safest.
All their urban planning is a plan for plagues.
It could also be a matter of never letting a crisis go to waste.
Environmentalists are already crooning, “Look, see how these restrictions help the Earth heal. We need to do more of this. Give us this power, we have a bigger crisis. Just believe OUR biased computer models.”
Yes but it’s too late, Covid-19 is the last nail in the DS coffin.

I think that’s overly optimist as well.
I agree that the Green New Deal is over.
It would be financially ruinous in a way that people now understand on a personal level.
It would be based on computer models which people understand are not worth very much.
It would impose government control and remove personal freedom in a way that people are now uncomfortable with.
The Deep State is another matter, and killing that will require indictments, prison terms, and (I hope) executions. But as far as the Green New Deal goes — I think it is politically dead.
If you knew what I know is going on in the admin you’d think alot differently. An act of wear has been made against our country by China and American traitors.

COVID-19 Wuhan virus is certainly being used as a wedge issue for the Green New Deal. But in a perverse way, the advent of this pandemic gave the world a preview of what it would be like to live under a massive command-and-control regime, all of course “for your own good”.
The Green New Deal, while it might be called “socialist”, is by its very nature, more concerned with concentration of power in the hands of an elite few, than with providing anything like an even chance for each and every subject upon whom this regime is imposed. The plight of one man may turn out to be a tragedy, but the same plight suffered by many is a mere statistic. Statistics make the important point that any one person may be substituted for another, in whatever capacity. This meets some definition of “equality”, but fails to recognize the individual traits of each person subject to whatever regime is in control.
