And there it is: In Tuesdays Coronavirus Task Force update, President Donald Trump told the nation that some state economies can begin to open by May 1. He further stated that details on his plan to reopen the largest economy in global history will becoming as the week goes on, but the affirmation that he is looking at starting the process in the next two weeks is a godsend.
The President also laid a big ol MOAB on the World Health Organization (WHO) telling reporters that he is putting a hold on any further funding for that corrupt globalist den of thieves while his administration investigates the groups behavior related to the Wuhan Virus, which has centered on the dissemination of propaganda provided by the Communist Chinese government.
Here is a clip of the Presidents remarks related to the WHO:

In other Wuhan Virus-related news, here is a real, actual tweet issued by the New York Times on Tuesday:

Thats right: 37% of the New York City deaths attributed to the Wuhan Virus are of unfortunate people who WERENT EVEN TESTED for the virus. This intentional inflation of the COVID-19-related death toll is taking place in hospitals all across the United States for one perverse reason: Classifying a death as being Wuhan Virus-related means that the costs of hospitalization are 100% guaranteed by the insurance companies and the federal government.
While that is wonderful for the families of the deceased, it is terrible for the truth, and it provides the corrupt news media looking for any way to harm the President to keep the economy shut down with inflated numbers to use to make the case.
Really and truly: My heart goes out to any family that has lost a loved one to this plague that the dishonest ChiCom government inflicted on the rest of the world. So I really do not have a problem with the costs of these hospitalizations being paid by the government. But it is vitally important that the true death toll related to this virus be accurately portrayed to the public, in large part because the truth is that it is likely to ultimately kill no more Americans than we lose during an average seasonal flu season, and there is not a single business in America that shuts down to protect people from the flu.
As I type this, the President just said that our country has to get open in an answer to a question from Foxs John Roberts. The best way to get our country open is for the government to start reporting the truth about the real nature of this virus, and the fact that we can reopen the economy while protecting the most vulnerable elements of our society and effectively treating those who contract it.
Finally, the President had this hilarious dustup with Brian Karem, whose gig is reporting for wait for it Playboy Magazine, which I honestly did not even realize still existed. Why is a reporter for Playboy Magazine allowed to pretend to be a part of the White House press corps?

"I told them when they put this guy here it is nothing but trouble. Hes a showboat. If you keep talking, I will leave and you can have it out with the rest of these people... Just a loudmouth."

That is all.
Todays news moves at a faster pace than ever. Whatfinger.com is my go-to source for keeping up with all the latest events in real time.
May 1 is way too early.
Really?? Good grief.....how long should be HOSTAGES??
Thats fine you can stay indoors . I dont see why we just dont do it like that. If your healthy and want to go to work , go to work. Thats the best way let the others stay inside til they feel safe. No need to screw us all up when we can go back to work !
It’s also way too late, or right on time, depending on the factors that you consider, and how you weigh them.
And, you live in Nevada. I could see NY, LA, parts of Calif and Michigan staying locked up...but sheesh...get this over with...I, as an “older person” will take special precautions as should those with compromised health...but, beyond that it’s time to stop the shutdown.
Simple if some dont feel comfortable stay home but this country is opening up
No thanks...
Open it up...Keep high rate areas under wraps.
Maybe clean the trains and buses in NYC.
I don’t think so. Living in Freedom has risks. Toughen up . ...or you can hide in your closet with your “Binky”.
Every body is going to get it. Plan on it or become a hermit.
If you think it will kill you - become a hermit. The rest of us can get on with our lives.
The ONLY places that shouldn’t open is high density areas where the spread will overwhelm hospitals.
The shut down of the economy WAS NOT to save 80 year olds. That isn’t how the world works.
Not all states are NY. Not all areas are served by robust mass transit or have other factors that make it difficult to socially distance. If they just open everything up without a reasonable strategy there will be problems. But it looks to me like a lot of Red states might be at an advantage here.
Pencil neck geeks like Fauci are off the podium. The people are in charge led by DJT. 17 million laid off count as much or more than the deaths that have added NYC “presumed’ Wuhan virus deaths.
the rest of us and our families, many like me with several risk factors, must get our lives going....
we've been compliant in this household....have not gone out much, not even to see my husbands 90 yro mother nor his older sister who just lost her husband two weeks ago...we've been wearing masks....
but enough is enough....
so those who are afraid, just stay home....
I am supposedly at risk. I visited family that allowed us. 2 of 3 kids who don’t cower in fear is reassuring. I work on front lines. My clients are ready to rebel. Health/mental health field. I go out daily to support local business. Can’t see my soon to be 100 year old father. Nursing home rules. He’s at risk for what?
Hey lets stay shutdown until we have to shutdown in the for the flu because it kills more than Convid-1984. The biggest flim flam in American history.
If you look closely at the numbers, the death rate is no worse than the death rate for ordinary flu.
The difference between this and the ordinary flu strains is that most of the deaths are in the range above 75 years old with very few under that other than those who have underlying health problems.
Since the death rate much lower in the younger years, it is obvious that it is much higher in the older and sickly...almost a death warrant.
So the solution to avoid total bankruptcy is to allow those who have no health problems and who are below retirement age to work and to allow those with health problems or those in the upper age groups to stay home if they desire and upon verification by their doctor, be protected from discrimination by their employer.
Once an effective vaccine is available, back to the old rules of life..
May 1 too early for Wyoming or North Dakota? What do states have to do to open, be at zero cases? Today is not too early for some states. Trump did not say ALL states on 5/1, just the ones ready.
“May open” is not good enough, that’s basically the same thing Trump said weeks ago for Easter. OPEN UP AMERICA NOW. This is the least deadly “pandemic” there will ever be, severity has been overstated by multiple orders of magnitude, Americans want to go back to work.
One thing is for sure. Places like New York, New Jersey, Philly, Detroit, and the Big Easy, are going to need things. They are going to need manufactured goods, a reliable source of medical supplies, food, etc. Somebody has to be open to provide those things. Look around you. We dont even have a way to wipe our damn butts! We have a number of states that are not in the same position as New York for things like mass transit. They dont face the same level of risk and they might be able to rebuild some needed supply chains.
