The American media are the enemy of the American president and the American people, and they have indeed grown arrogant. "The opportunity of defeating the enemy is provided by the enemy himself," Sun Tzu wrote. Those of us who have been watching President Trump's daily press briefings on the COVID-19 virus have not been surprised at the appalling disrespect the reporters show the man. They have behaved this way since Trump became a candidate for the office of the presidency.
As the world now grapples with this pandemic, each day, the president and his team patiently explain to these people everything they know to date, and then he takes questions. Nearly every question is an attempt at a gotcha moment. They read part of a statement the president made, often an edited statement, then challenge him to defend that which needs no defense. He has defeated them, but they have yet to realize it.
Our not intrepid press corps nearly operates on the premise that the president came late to the crisis when in fact he was on it from moment one, as soon as the truth of it emerged from China too late. The WHO, NIH, and CDC were each wholly unprepared, having spent their billions on social justice projects and studying drunk monkeys. Not one of those three agencies saw the virus as a potential pandemic — not in December or January. Trump did. It is those institutions and the irresponsibility of previous administrations who bear the blame for the shortages of medical equipment and supplies, Gov. Cuomo in particular.

They think they can twist this into Bush’s Katrina. He did nothing wrong but they blamed every struggle on him and he took the blame. Trump is not Bush.

I’m split, I think he should allow only ONE question from the fake reporters from CNN et al to display their hate. But ONE is enough from the known hate networks and the rest of the questions should ONLY come from serious reporters.
The richest irony is that, in the cold, dark place where their hearts should lie, they think that it is Trump who is arrogant, mean, and disrespectful. They feeeeeeeeeeeel that it is somehow their duty to slam him at every turn. There is no room for compassion or doubt - they are incapable of affording him his due.
And as a result they earn his contempt and ridicule.

They seize a word and never let it go. “Ventilators” is the new one. They are looking for a way to blame the lack on Trump. The phallus inhalers in the press corpse know nothing about “ventilators” but realize the word can be made into Trump’s Katrina.

Anyone see the CBS story with pic of overcrowded hospital in ITALY and it was portrayed as being NYC?
Also, there was a story, (MSNBC I think) showing gurneys with covered bodies piled up outside a hospital, Italy again, and they portrayed it as NYC.
Now I will also say, we get a “rose colored glasses” version of the truth from POTUS and staff. Also Fox News.
The TRUTH is somewhere in between. I try to look at medical journals and science news. Do NOT TRUST ANYTHING put out by WHO. That guy is drowning in Chinese koolaid.

Not a single damn word about the President’s powerful press conference yesterday. Nothing. Miami gave MORE ATTENTION to Cuomo and deBlasio—they actually ran “sound bites” from both of these men. Nothing from POTUS.
