Rashida Tlaib just sunk the Democrats with a stunning proposal to deal with the coronavirus including giving direct cash to illegal immigrants.
Her plan says:
“In response to the Coronavirus crisis, the Automatic BOOST to Communities Act would immediately provide a U.S. Debit Card pre-loaded with $2000 to every person in America.
Each card would be recharged with $1,000 monthly until one year after the end of the Coronavirus crisis.
Guaranteeing Universality “Every person” includes:
Dependents, so a couple with two children would receive 4 x $2000 = $8000 in total.
Non-citizens, including undocumented people, permanent residents, and temporary visitors whose stay exceeds three months.
Individuals who do not have a bank account, social security number, or permanent address.
People living in unincorporated territories or protectorates and Americans living abroad.

When I lived in RI, they cater too Illegals w/ aid and I believe Drivers Licenses, but they may have happened after I left.
The economics were simple. The state had maybe 900K people and everybody was leaving to find work elsewhere after 2008. Illegals buy things and drive, so the revenue from Sales Tax and Gas Tax was significant, so you encourage them to immigrate to your state. Being a Blue State meant that there was no political down side, as Limo Liberals would say we need to help the poor dears.
The BOOST card would also come in a premium offering,, The HEIST card, for high gubamint officials use when on global junkets and vacays..
One assumes that crooks like tlaib have kickback mechanisms in place for redistribution scams like this. She’s already shown a willingness to embezzle campaign funds.
