US President Donald Trump addressed the media at a conference on the outbreak of coronavirus at the White House, Washington DC on February 26.
A video of a New York Post journalist surfaced online which showed her mocking an Indian reporter during the conference, and it has left netizens angry.
In the viral clip, an Indian journalist can be seen raising a question about India-US relationships post Trumps two-day visit to the country. While the Indian reporter was questioning Trump, the New York Post reporter, who was sitting behind him, was seen making faces at him.
A Twitter user with the handle @damonimani shared the video with the caption: "Who is that reporter in the green mocking an Indian reporter? I bet she thinks Trump is racist."

Is it Trump Derangement Syndrome or racists mocking? Only the lady in green really knows.

LOL!
How is this even news?
Okay, how badly is this person going to be cancelled, and can Trump be impeached for this?
A professional journalist would have known that the cameras in the room roam, and you could be in any shot. This is why so many people talk about the amateurish group who pretend to be journalists today.
Some people think that any time a white person mocks or criticises someone of another race, it is because they are racist. Its kind of pathetic.
I actually watched the entire conference the other day. I'm pretty sure she was mocking the Indian guy because he used his moment in the sun to ask Trump about his visit to India. This was a conference about the CORONA VIRUS. This was a conference about the US response and plans about the CORONA VIRUS. This was not a generic presser.
Truth be told, when I watched it, I thought to myself "This idiot isn't even going to ask a question about the TOPIC of the press conference"
That can be said of the media daily. Trump can sign major legislation and he gets 10 questions on impeachment or some such political nonsense. Typically the reporter takes the Dem talking points and attacks him, like Acosta or zoo zoo zang from CB.S.
I saw that. I couldnt understand a word the guy was saying. I dont think she was mocking, as much as floored by his thick accent. Everything isnt racist.
True. That said, this was a very specific conference about a very specific topic. The guy could have shoehorned relevance at the end of his question "How was your meeting with blah blah blah and did you discuss virus response and preparation with the Prime Minister?" etc.
Yeah, but how is that any different than a U.S. or BBC reporter going off-topic to criticize President Trump?
I think our POTUS entitled to a few compliments and off-topic questions. But it shouldn’t be over-done.
My guess is the girl in green was complaining about that very point, but she doesn’t recognize that Accosting Acosta and his ilk do it all the time.
And to your point, I can’t mind-read. And the criticize people for mind-reading the President. My bad.
Frankly, it is stupid to call the reporter from the NEW YORK POST (one of the most pro-Trump papers) racist. She was correctly incredulous at the Indian reporter’s lack of awareness at the press conference by asking about the India trip instead of the coronavirus, the main reason why they had the press conf. She is absolutely correct to be astonished by his questioning.
You’re both right. And I was wrong to jump to conclusions. With 3 million hits of this video, there’s quite a furor over this. Justified or not.
Democrats are racist and always have been.
Because it was totally non-sequitur. Anthony Faucci(sp) had just announced that there might be a therapy(Remdesivir) and was discussing vaccine time lines, etc. Then Indian guy asks a fluff question about Trump's visit. We expect it with hostile questions from douchebags like Acosta, but the first question out of the gate and it's a non-topical? It was really an inappropriate question at that time.
Embedded in his question was some flattery for President Trump. I’ll bet that was what triggered her.
I had no trouble understanding him but I worked with a large number of foreign professionals, many from India.
But, one thing I was told yesterday, is that she is Australian. Thank goodness this display was another country other than America for once!
I work with offshore Indians these days. Some of them are completely unintelligible. This reporter’s accent was fine, I had zero problem understanding him.
Not sure why Green Shirt was having such a hard time. However, she should have kept her reaction internal and not allowed it to surface. She’s gonna get a lot of flak for this.
Me too, 99% of the people I lead are Indian.
But, one thing I was told yesterday, is that she is Australian.
Then she should be the LAST to have a problem with accents.
OTOH she’s kinda hot.
I’d hit it, with a thick accent.
LOL, Laz! And love your tagline...
