Now its pretty much a foregone conclusion that President Donald Trump was going to win the New Hampshire primary.
But just like with the Iowa caucuses people are looking at the voting and the turnout to see if the Republicans or the Democrats are more energized.
Thats a little more interesting in New Hampshire because of the open rules of the primary. You only need $1000 to get on the ballot and write-in votes are encouraged, so theres always more of a percentage that goes to other than perhaps in other places that dont have such rules.
So one way of judging is to look at the vote, compared to other incumbent presidents who were reelected.
Check out this graph and you should feel very good about Trumps chances. If the president didnt have a major challenger in New Hampshire, he was re-elected.
It should be noted that when Kondik tweeted it Trump was at 84 percent. Hes now over 86 percent, about on par with Reagan, at the highest in recent memory.
Weld should have done well since hes a former governor of the neighboring state of Massachusetts. But hes really not doing all that well considering, hovering in single digits. That bodes well for Trump too.
But what perhaps is really astonishing is the turnout for incumbent Trump.
For the turnout for incumbents going back to Reagan in New Hampshire, here are the respective counts: Barack Obama (49,080), George W. Bush (52,962) Ronald Reagan (65,033) and Bill Clinton (76,797).
Trump has 114,466 without even the final numbers in yet, with 84 percent of the vote in. He more than doubled Obama, the most recent past president.
Now thats looking like the GOP is pretty darn energized and that graph is making re-election look pretty good.
where’s the graph?
i see a chart. no graph.
Trump is the Energizer Bunny! No other republican, including the much admired Ronald Reagan could energize the voters like Trump does, again and again.
Thanks Red Badger.
The Fraud Factor is a variable unaccounted for in this chart. This election, it may go off the charts.
What percent did Reagan get? I didn’t see it in the article. Anybody know?
I’m dropping off my primary ballot for President Donald John Trump today.
86.4.......................
Do not get complacent. I remember 5 years ago, the GOP was a mess, a clown car full of candidates. And one candidate no one gave a chance. A showman, not a politician.
Against the odds, against the swamp, the media, and the establishment Republicans, Donald Trump won.
Someone will emerge from the Democrat chaos. Whoever that someone turns out to be, that person will have money, Bloomberg’s money, the support of the swamp, the media, Hollywood, and the establishment politicians. Not to mention cheating at the ballot box like we’ve never seen before. Open, in your face cheating.
I think President Trump has the inside lane, and will win, but it’s not out of the realm of possibility that he could lose. Don’t be complacent.
It seems like POTUS does something remarkable or at least very notable every single day.
Still waiting for the fake media to report this.........crickets.
“Im dropping off my primary ballot for President Donald John Trump today.”
The wife and I mailed ours out yesterday. GO TRUMP GO
Trump = 130,000 Votes
Biden = 25,000 Votes
Sanders = 75,000 Votes
POTUS, Donald J. Trump wins both the Republican and Democrat New Hampshire 2020 POTUS primary elections!!! Case closed!!!
ah, now i see it.
Should mean we take the State and keep the Senate seat. I know we all hate Collins, but we need to keep the Senate and expand our seats in it.
OK, thanks. On my laptop, the chart shows up as a broken image (not visible). When I looked on my phone, the chart was visible, so it was probably blocked by my browser’s pop-up or ad blockers.
Pfft. I won’t get complacent...but every time I see the leftists with their d**ks laying in the swamp as Trump stomps on them, I am going to enjoy it greatly!
