About Those 70 Obama Holdovers Cut From the NSC…
DB Daily Update ^ | David Blackmon

Posted on 02/11/2020 4:27:43 AM PST by EyesOfTX

Tired of all this WINNING yet? – Both the NASDAQ and S&P 500 set new record highs on Monday, as the Trump economy just keeps WINNING for Americans and their 401(k)’s. The Dow was also up, but not quite at record levels reached a few weeks ago, before the Coronavirus scare. And it’s only going to get better, as early trading futures indicate all indexes will open at higher levels today.

About those “70 Obama holdovers” cut from the NSC… – Twitter and other social media outlets went nuts on Monday over a slightly misleading report issued by the Washington Examiner. The report itself, filed by Paul Bedard, is accurate, but requires some close reading to understand what is really being communicated.

Unfortunately, as is so often the case, it was the headline that misled most readers and caused the story to go viral on social media, which of course was the goal of the misleading headline. That headline reads as follows:

Bigger than Vindman: Trump scrubs 70 Obama holdovers from NSC BOOM, right? Well, sort of. Coming as the report did on a Monday morning, barely 48 hours after the removal of everyone named Vindman from the NSC staff, the headline is obviously designed to create the impression that dozens of disloyal Obama holdovers on the NSC staff were removed over the weekend. And that was how the story was portrayed by repeaters throughout social media and conservative media like Breitbart.

The trouble is, that is not what happened.

The misleading part of the story itself comes not in what the author said, but in what he left out of the text. While it is apparently accurate that 70 NSC employees, most of whom were indeed holdovers from the Obama era, have been removed from the NSC staff, nowhere in Bedard’s story does he mention that this transition has been a slow and steady process that has taken place since current National Security Advisor Robert O’Brien took over that job last fall.

There was no replay of Nixon’s “Saturday Night Massacre” at the NSC over the weekend; indeed, I can find no evidence that a single member of the NSC staff was fired or reassigned on Saturday or Sunday. However, it is apparently true that O’Brien, working on orders from President Trump, has succeeded in ridding the White House of 70 NSC deep state functionaries since he came into office several months ago. It is also true that O’Brien has publicly stated that this process of weeding out the bad guys is still ongoing and could end up with the removal of up to half of the bloated NSC staff of 200 that President Trump inherited from Barack Obama His Own Self.

Clear?

There is still much reason to celebrate here, as O’Brien finally does the job that General Mike Flynn, Trump’s original appointment to be the National Security Advisor, would have done had he not been entrapped and framed by Obama FBI holdovers Peter Strzok and Joe Pientka. Better late than never.

And the good news keeps coming. On Monday, former U.S. Attorney Joe DiGenova told an interviewer that he has been told by “a very senior U.S. government policy official” that the “Anonymous” author who wrote the infamous 2018 New York Times column claiming that he and “like-minded” colleagues working in the Trump Administration were actively undermining the President’s agenda has been identified and will be fired this week.

In a report this morning on Fox’s “Mornings With Maria,” author Lee Smith said that two fairly senior officials, Secretary of Defense for Policy John Rood and Special Representative for Iran Brian Hook, have also been identified as disloyal staff working to undermine administration policy, and both would likely be removed this week. Rood served in several posts during the George W. Bush administration, including a stint as an analyst at the CIA. Hook is also a former Bushie who served in the State Department in the waning days of that administration.

Whether either man is the “Anonymous” author is unclear at this time.

The good news here is this: Three full years into his Administration, President Trump finally has a National Security Advisor who is fully on his team and helping him to achieve his goals. What we are seeing O’Brien accomplish today is one of the main reasons why the Obama people were so panicked about having a Trump loyalist in Mike Flynn as the NSA – because, as we have seen, Obama had packed the NSC staff with deep state operatives who served as the nexus of all the serial leaking that so damaged this presidency in its early years.

You may have noticed that the frequency of leaking from the White House has dramatically diminished since O’Brien took the job.

And O’Brien isn’t done yet.

WINNING.

That is all.

70 seditious moles routed in 4 or 5 months... Great job! There must be more than 1,000 of the same vermin in the State Department and 10’s of thousands throughout the rest of the Departments under the Executive Branch’s supervision.

I sure like what the S&P 500 is doing.

Shortly after Trump took office, I took a leap of faith and transferred the majority of my 401k from a safer fund (the type of fund advisors recommend a 58 YO to be in) into a fund that mirrors the performance of the S&P 500. What a great move that turned out to be! My retirement is looking much better now.

Ditto on the S&P; I've been in a fund like that for a long time now; we just have a conservative bond-based fund that we put all my new contributions into, to keep a healthy balance, in case of an outbreak of Democrats; but I do love that main fund!

Pres Obama’s CYA maneuver of January 3, 2017-——
his signing of NSA Data-Sharing Order Section 2.3 out of AG Lynch’s office ——is the coupe d’etat to blow out The Deep State.

Obama’s original ex/order contains some unusual language particularly the convoluted language WRT “The Strategic Delay of Section 2.3 of Obama’s Executive Order 12333.”

NOTE WELL: Prior to the formal signing of Section 2.3, greater latitude ALREADY existed within the White House in regards to collection of information – especially in relation to the Trump Campaign. However, once signed, Section 2.3 granted broad latitude to inter-agency sharing of information.

But by the time Obama’s new executive order was signed on January 3, 2017, all that information was already in the possession of Obama White House.

Thus, Susan Rice’s January 20, 2017 email to herself takes on an even greater significance b/c no one was ever supposed to know about the REAL meaning of Obama’s retroactive actions.....until Rice stupidly laid it all out in an official email.

When Susan Rice stupidly wrote a memo to herself, she inadvertently confessed to a series of crimes that added the time line and inferences about what the outgoing Obama administration illegally concealed from incoming President Trump and his aides.

After-the-fact memos are rarely a good idea....they reveal things the author never intended——as did Susan Rice in her now-infamous email to herself on Trump’s inauguration day.

Suzan skipped down the Yellowbrick Road, along with the mental midgets of the Obama Administraton.

Obama’s FBI, DOJ, ODNI, CIA and intelligence officials flipped a finger at protocol....and even worse ....they were intentionally dishonest with incoming President Trump and key members of his new administration.

Obviously their lack of honesty was a serious issue.......but flipping off established protocol had serious ramifications.

This was a “justification memo”......outgoing National Security Advisor Susan Rice needed to explain why there have been multiple false and misleading statements given to the incoming President Trump and all of his officials.

This is not a “CYA” memo, this is a justification memo for use AFTER the Trump-Russia collusion/conspiracy narrative collapsed; if the impeachment effort failed.

Her intellectually facile “By-The-Book” reference -refers to both she and then-President Obama being told by CIA Director John Brennan, FBI Director Comey, Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, and Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates, that President Trump was the subject of an active counterintelligence investigation to determine if he was under the influence of the Russian government. But they NEVER told candidate Trump about it.

Even the timing of Rice’s Oz-ish memo, written 15 minutes prior to the end of the Obama administration, is ex-post-facto useful as evidence of the author’s intent.......as Suzan stupidly confesses to a host of crimes.

What people miss about Susan Rice and her need to write that last memo is her attempt to craft a record of a ‘COUNTER-INTEL’ operation that was ongoing and that Obama had instructed that everything be done ‘by the book’.

What is missing is that during a counter-intel investigation, it is permissible to lie, or in official terms ‘to disseminate disinformation’.

As long as the Obama spying was characterized as a counter-intel operation, it was legal to have words and actions left in place that might be discovered as untrue.
In other words, Rice’s final memo was an attempt to carve out a last minute get-out-of-jail pass for all those involved in the spying.

Rice likely foresaw that Congressional hearings might uncover false and perjured statements on the part of persons in the spy operation to which the response would be “So what? It was a Counter-Intel operation.”

This is why it was IMPERATIVE for Barr and Durham to investigate the ORIGINS because if the origins revealed no predicate, no basis, no genuine probable cause for launching a counter-intel operation, then Rice’s feeble stay-out-of-jail memo would fall apart.

“High time. better late than never I guess. “

THis is why they took out General Flynn-

He was getting close to the traitors in our govt- (and there are quite a few)

Even the Inspector general!- secret testimony to Schiff?!
labeling his testimony Top secret- but lets get Trump!

It would be interesting if General Flynn had removed some people from the NSC- then was attacked by Comey and others

All the Intel & Fed LEOs get stuffed with additional “staff” schedule C positions when Rats have the administration. The Zero administration exponentially so! Many of these [positions eventually get absorbed into the normal GS bureaucracy (at a 15 & above level!). The GOP has always done a half-hearted job of stopping or even controlling it.
