Newly minted Republican Congressman Jeff Van Drew (NJ) spoke to Fox News Eric Shawn on Sunday. Toward the end of their discussion, Shawn asked Van Drew about an upcoming Trump rally scheduled for January 28 in his district (NJ-02).
Unbelievably, there have been over 100,000 ticket requests for a venue that holds only 7,400.
Its been exciting and Im proud to say out of all the events hes done all over the country, weve had the most ticket requests. Hes coming to support me and my reelection. Hes coming to speak about his issues and we are really proud to have him. There are going to be thousands upon thousands. The last I heard, I think theres been about 100,000 ticket requests for the President. Were proud to have him. Were proud to have the President. And it shows he cares about the big towns and the big cities and he also cares about the little places.
Wildwood is a town of approximately 5,000 year-round residents. Known for its lovely shoreline, its a popular beach destination and fills up fast in the summer. A Cape May County spokeswoman told NJ.com that on a typical summer day, there might be 150,000 people in Wildwood.
Hillary Clinton defeated President Trump in New Jersey by 14%, a wide margin by anyones definition. In NJ-02, however, the Congressional district which includes Cape May County, Trump defeated Clinton by five points. Still, winning the state is a long shot.
NJ voted for Eisenhower (twice), Nixon (twice), Reagan (twice) and George Bush (once in 1988). In the last 32 years, the state has voted Democratic.
Rep. Van Drew, youll recall, had been a Democrat. Shortly after voting against impeachment, he switched parties.
Amy Kennedy (D), a mental health advocate, and the wife of former Rep. Patrick Kennedy, announced earlier this month she will try to unseat Van Drew.
It is hoped that President Trumps show of support may help him to fend off that challenge in November
(Relevant segment begins at 2:15 in the video.)
It would be so excellent if NJ flipped to Trump. I would love to watch the Dems burn their own cities as he disassembles all their carefully laid plans to turn the US into a socialist shit hole.
New Jersey Democrat Governor Schedules Construction Project to Interfere with Trump Rally Traffic
Maybe they could move it to larger venue. Can you imagine how freaked out the media would be if Trump filled Giants Stadium?
I love Wildwood!!
We love Wildwood crest in particular we usually go at Pittsburgh
Its the best beach on the whole East Coast by far
My folks are the alpaca farmers in Cape May New Jersey which has the best restaurants in southern New Jersey
Cape May was settled in the 1620s and theres quite interesting Victorian architecture there
The maze anything about Cape May as you can see the sunrise and the sunset over the water
The fact that Trump is doing the convention center there where theres huge amusement parks right there on the beach will be quite the spectacle
I assume that its going to be at that big convention hall there was probably only holds about eight or 10,000
Van Drew represents Cape May County.
That is as far south as one can get in NJ. And below the Mason-Dixon Line
too many illegals and third-world parasites in NJ... hopefully, media exposure will extend to PA.
I hope he comes back in the late spring or summer and fills Met Life Stadium. With people standing or sitting on the field, he could easily draw 100,000.

I suggest you get around more.
Jones Beach on Long Island is probably the top beach in the northeast in terms of accessibility. It has very fine sand , surpassed only by the Pacific beach in Carmel and the Lake Michigan Beach in St Joseph, IMHO and experience. The beaches on Nantucket are much less accessible but they are much nicer than the ones I've been to in New Jersey.
