When his Senate career is over, Democrat Minority Leader Chuck Schumer should consider applying for a job as a manager at Long John Silver's. Because the Democrat minority leader has displayed an affinity for a fishing metaphor that might rival that of Izaak Walton in "The Compleat Angler."
In appearances on both MSNBC's Morning Joe and CNN's New Day this morning, Schumer repeatedly accused Majority Leader Mitch McConnell of going along with an alleged "coverup" by President Trump of the impeachment trial, "hook, line, and sinker." Schumer has cast the same line elsewhere across the media in recent days.

Have come with good reason to absolutely abhor and despise the Democratic Party. Yet in this case sincerely hope they get their wish and witnesses are called to testify in this “impeachment trial” charade. Then and only then can Hunter Biden and Paul Pelosi can be subpoenaed and testify under oath. If they take the 5th, the questions can still be asked about the Ukraine corruption. Suspect they were just the frontmen who not only enriched themselves but funneled corruption cash to many Democrats. If this is handled correctly by Trump’s lawyers, Nancy can use her new gold pen to sign her resignation letter and the bail bond for her son. Trump should use this opportunity to destroy his enemies who are also the enemies of the American people.
And yet millions of people will vote for a Democrat in a House race because “MY Dem is different! He’s MODERATE. He’s REASONABLE.”
