America won't see a draft because most Americans don't have the energy to fight

A lot of people, especially on the Left says that America will see a military draft. Look at this Twitter thread I saw tonight....a lot of millennials don't even have respect for those who are going to deal with this Iranian crisis....they are belittling their service saying that "they signed up for it, etc."

I certainly couldn’t be relied on to support George Bush’s Iraq War. Like Trump said, it was one of the biggest foreign policy mistakes in American History.

And a war against Iran would be just as foolish in my opinion.

we do not need a draft and it would actually hurt our armed forces.

Our military is now hi tech in many things. if a kid has not stayed in school they are going to be to ignorant to operate the equipment.

Since this will impact some minorities more than the mainstream red state kids that means that more minorities are going to be on the ground behind a rifle than the red state kids are.

It is not a question of racism is a case of ignorance v educated.

They don’t have to go to war with us, we are now too weak to oppose them. One day they will just declare Taiwan is theirs and we will do nothing. Then they will declare the South China Sea is theirs and we will do nothing.

China has a big military but no reach. their blue water navy is sparse, scarce, their ability to airlift limited, and their weapons systems still a generation behind ours. They have power numbers wise but from there on out it goes down hill for them.

Iran’s military is ranked 13th in the world.

They are smaller than North Korea, Italy, Turkey, Brazil, etc.

Where is all this fear of a war with them?

Especially all this talk of World War 3?

This is being hyped beyond reason.

If something happens, it will be conducted by Iranian proxies who were trained by Soleimani. Yes, it could be as devastating as a dirty bomb, but this nation is not in danger.

There will be no need for a draft. That is silly.

Nope...not enough energy resources...unless they take over the MidEast. And then there is the problem of getting the oil over the long and very vulnerable ocean route to China.
