The news was buried under two dense paragraphs and five large photos in an article in New York YIMBY about a different project: "Construction has also yet to begin on 51 Park Place, which is slated to become a 71-foot-tall, 16,000-square-foot Islamic cultural center." The infamous Ground Zero Mosque project, a long buried effort to build a triumphal mosque at the site of the worst jihad terror attack in American history, is back.
Construction has yet to begin, but it will: the shady developer behind the Ground Zero Mosque scheme, Sharif El-Gamal, has been working to build this sinister structure for years.
We defeated the Ground Zero Mosque project once before. The 16-story mosque that El-Gamal initially planned to build there has not been built. Our efforts in showing what an insult it was to the American people and to the victims of 9/11, and how many Muslims worldwide would inevitably view it as a triumphal mosque built on the site of a jihad attack, defeated it. Tens of thousands of people came out for our rallies in lower Manhattan against this celebration of this 9/11 attacks, and El-Gamal was beaten in the court of public opinion.
It was a long battle. President Obama announced his support for the mosque at an Iftar dinner, no less. Then-mayor of New York City and current presidential candidate Michael Bloomberg supported the mosque as well, claiming hysterically that "if we don't build it, the terrorists will win!" The media actively campaigned for it the elites in their increasingly fragile ivory towers relentlessly stumped for the Cordoba mosque (euphemistically called an Islamic center with a prayer space) for years.

Of corse its back. New York deserves whatever comes its way.
Can they find New York construction workers to build this thing? Don’t destroy my confidence in blue collar America.
If nothing else, it is in poor taste to build this atrocity. New York should be ashamed.
Bratwurst cart on the sidewalk, right in front of the main doors. Run by a buxom lass wearing a dirndl. Complaints can be registered with her 6’ 6”, Nordic-looking husband, Horst.
“The sheep don’t understand the significance of this mosque to the Islamic world”
So true! A marker of conquest.
One day, God willing, Hagia Sofia will uncover its mosaics.
“... They keep electing mayors like Bill Deblasio ...”
Why did Bill Deblasio change his name from Warren Wilhelm Jr.?
We should have destroyed Islam like we destroyed Nazi. Almost 20 years post 9/11 and here we are. Imagine the Nazis as powerful politically with American sympathizers in 1965.
LOL. Can she wear a pointy horned helmet too?
You got to the heart of the matter by bringing up New York City Construction unions. All it takes is for the heads of each trade (iron workers, electricians, plumbers, HVAC, etc.) to hold a joint press conference and announce that this atrocity will never be built, that a serious, not-to-be-crossed picket line will be in place and head busting will the method of enforcement for any scabs foolish enough to try going in. Police and sanitation are also strongly organized and will probably be in sympathy with those walking the picket line, especially considering how many of their members were killed on 9/11 and the PBAs current relationship with DeBlasio.
Any push back from city politicians or prominent liberal groups should be met with a general strike on ALL construction in the city and increased efforts to educate the public on what is really going on and what these prayer centers actually represent: celebratory monuments to moslem conquests. Im sure there are many 9/11Survivor groups who would be happy to engage anyone foolish enough to criticize the organized labor protesters. And best of all would be spontaneous guerrilla actions by independent outraged citizens, to wit: deliveries getting lost, equipment breakdowns to which repair crews never show up, mysterious blackouts, etc.
For all the liberals who get the lions share of publicity from sympathetic mass media, the city is actually populated by a silent majority of veterans, patriotic blue collar workers and enough people for whom 9/11 is more than just a date. I predict that the rest of the country will be pleasantly surprised at their reaction if the powers-that-be are foolish enough to let this go forward.
There is no such thing as Trump Construction. Trump doesn't build, he has other build for him.
Another thing, if you've never been to Ground Zero it's a moving and very fitting memorial to all the people who died there. The two fountains are beautiful, the names of each individual engraved around the fountains is very moving, and the fact that a white rose is placed into each individual's name on their birthday tears at your heart. Your design would destroy all that.
Lol.
Or this....
Go ahead & build the damn thing.
The US Military needs a good high density urban target to test the potential collateral damage effects of their ‘Rods from God” weapon system
This makes my heart hurt to think that this is even a possibility! :(
P.S. New York SUCKS!
New York City is a lost cause. I no longer count it as part of the USA.
Because his dad (Wilhelm) skipped town and he took his mothers maiden name.
