Give to The Salvation Army not Chick-fil-A

Compassionless Chick-fil-A executives have made an Ebenezer Scrooge like decision to stop donating to The Salvation Army. Many desperately need the help the donation would have provided. The money for the donation would have come from Chick-fil-A customers. Thus Chick-fil-A customers could reverse the decision to stop donating "their" money to The Salvation Army. Chick-fil-A customers could eat at Chick-fil-A less often and donate the money they would have spent at Chick-fil-A to The Salvation Army.

Although I think that the Salvation Army is a very worthy cause.

We pack our own provender these days. Between the poor value for money, bathroom issues (longer lines thanks to fewer available stalls), and this political cr@p, it’s just not worth it to stop at a restaurant.

Ironically, I have always been given great customer service the few times I’ve been in a Popeye’s. I usually get the catfish dinner combo with red beans and rice.

On the other hand, they have never had that sandwich in stock any time I’ve been there.

Same here; I made significant donations to the two groups they dropped, and sent them a pointed email explaining what I had done, and that I was one of those people standing in those long lines to defend their rights when they needed me. I feel betrayed, and told them so.

I don’t “give” to Chick-fil-A.

Unless they are making me a sandwich.

For several years, when on the road, I would seek and support CFA, even though I really do not like their food.

Now I am free to “enjoy” other fast food. (I do like Popeye’s).

Apples and oranges.

One is a non-profit ministry. One is a for-profit business.

Give money to Salvation Army, sure.

Spend money at CFA for good food, sure.

Yep.

Let the 2%ers of the country keep CFA and Hallmark in business.

(Because they were supporting each company so much. /s)

See how that works for them.

I surely wish that Americans would stop placing politics above just living a pleasant life. It is so foolish to carry a grudge over everything and for every reason. Just be happy that companies give anything at all to charities. Take up the slack yourself by giving to the organizations which suit you. Stop trying to be a tyrant over others.

In the final analysis, I don't see that much difference between liberals and conservatives: Both are hell-bent on controlling others.
