I try not watch but DNC rallies and conventions are invariably a dreadfully dull box ticking exercise in which one group after another gets mentioned and does a ritual cheer for itself. On and on. They are like kids who get hold of the PA mic in the principal’s office.
The Clintons learned early that these stultifying shout-out exercises could substitute for actual speeches. Hillary, lacking any wit or original thought, was especially reliant on them.
It’s not the “ Democratic” Party, it’s the” Democrat” party.

In a few years, probably so. Texas and Florida are about to go perma blue. Arizona is shaky, Georgia is close to shaky. After that, it won’t matter what kind of nut they run.

I think the Dems are purposing throwing this election, I believe they have problems, a squad problem, a millennial problem, old guard problem and of course TDS
I think they are going with impeachment to appease the millennial/squad members, they need that vote in the future and need to prove to them that they will impeach the president. They know this will knock them out in 2020, but 2020 is impossible anyways when you have flame thrower like Trump running, with a good economy and a foreign policy that most Americans, even peace nick liberals, you know those hippy types they forgot about, like. Trump is extremely strong going into 2020, in better shape then Obama or Bush (and some would say even Reagan)
So why run a candidate in 2020 that would do better in 2024? That is where Warren, Bernie, Biden, whomever is the sacrificial lamb comes into play. They will be the designated loser, like Mondale or Kerry or Romney, they will run the normal boring campaign while Trump is laps around them and making fun of them. It leaves their potential 2024 candidate unscathed and not under the Trump microscope and ridicule.
Impeaching Trump is about appeasing the Millennials, they are not a big factor now, but in 4 years the older ones will be in their 40’s and the most of them will be in there 30’s ripe voting age. And impeaching the guy they don’t like, will give the ‘Rats the street cred that they need going forward with this group.
The dems are playing the long game here

Because the left are political gamblers who only win when we don’t show up and are willing to lose our money on a bad bet when we don’t show up.
The Democrat party is still in business because their voters are too stupid to realize their pied pipers are the only members getting paid.
But what else can be expected from people who lack the math skills to avoid being conned into believing the rich have enough money for everyone.
Or people who see Obama inherit a bad economny and manage to make it worse in 2 terms. Trump inherits a bad economy and fully turns it around in his first term. But some how they think Trump is destroying America.
Democrats do not want a democracy the want a polity headed by the Democratic political party.
Sadly, the truth is far more pathetic.
Shortly after the 2008 economic crash, Democrat voters “went all in”. They had been seething over the support of GWB beginning with his election and reelection. Finally, the 2008 economic crash fueled their self-justified distain of conservatism. With the election of Obama, gaining both houses and the historical chance that they might capture full controll of the Supreme Court, they were completely released from any illusion of tolerance.
At that point, they , having wagered ego, credibility and identity on the perceived decline of the Republican party and public support of conservatism. Fast forward, Trump!.
They have everything on the line and a successful Trump is a crushing blow to the eggs they placed in the Democrat basket.
They are seeing the potential ReElection of Trump, a recapture of the House by Republicans and a massively conservative Supreme Court.
Their reputation among their peers is at stake. They fear the moment that Republican collegues turn an confirm they were “dumb asses” easily duped because of their own stupidity.
Their conservative coworkers, neighbors and family members are laughing their asses off and the average Democrat is sounding like an irrational lunatic when they try to use media talking points to support their faith in the Democrat party.
They are looking like idiots and knowing that you can see it, is killing them. They are having a political stroke and unable to verbally articulate anything but mere mumbling and snarraling.

Interesting analysis ... on the other hand, they could just be making this stuff up as they go along. You may be giving this gang of malcontents too much credit for strategic thinking.
I’m not saying I disparage your reasoning but there are times when it’s hard to detect anything resembling rational thought from the RATs.
I see their unity as hatred of Christianity.
Moslems. Feminists. Homosexuals. Lax on law and order. Abortion. No borders. No legitimate law enforcement. Communism. Atheists.
Their anti biblical attitude is the one thing they have in common.
Add to that their blatant and unrepentant hypocrisy.
If they turn enough states Purple or Blue, like they are Texas, Georgia, Tennessee, Florida, Arizona and now South Carolina, they can.
States they’ve already turned: California, Oregon, Washington, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, Virginia,
The states that their supporters are all running from, because they turned them into sh*tholes, are all safely Blue. Why not, with the help of Soros and the rest, spread their disease. You can see their plan in full swing in Texas and Georgia.
