Full House Vote Expected Next Week – Dems Claim They Don’t Plan to Whip Impeachment Votes as Group of Vulnerable Dems Spooked, Float Censure Instead

However, not all Democrats are on board with impeachment which can pose a huge problem.

A group of rogue, vulnerable Democrats are spooked and floating censuring President Trump instead of impeaching him, Politico reported on Monday.

But the Dem leadership is claiming they won’t be using any tools such as pressure or coercion to “whip the votes” to make sure the entire Democrat Caucus is on board with impeachment?

The Senate censured Andrew Jackson in 1834, the first and only time they did this to a president. Ten Senators have been censured. There were other attempts to censure sitting presidents, but none of them came to a vote. I don’t believe the House ever attempted to censure a president, but I could be wrong on this.

Right on!

Those who are so inclined and aren’t already doing so, might want to pray for the safety of the president.

We can put absolutely nothing past these evil creatures.

Senate Censures President
March 28, 1834

Andrew Jackson attributed to Thomas Sully (1783-1872)
In 1833, the Senate clashed with President Andrew Jackson in a fight over the survival of the Bank of the United States. After months of debate and recriminations, in an unprecedented and never-repeated tactic, the Senate censured the president on March 28, 1834.

from wikipedia...

There are also no legal consequences that come with a reprimand or censure. The main difference is that a reprimand is “considered a slap on the wrist and can be given in private and even in a letter”, while a censure is “a form of public shaming in which the politician must stand before his peers to listen to the censure resolution”.[3]

The first use of censure in the United States was directed at Secretary of the Treasury Alexander Hamilton, who was a member of George Washington’s cabinet.[1]

Trump will not stand and listen to anything.

Trump should censure House Democrats.

Bill Barr is being interviewed by a Wall Street Journal man on Fox News right now. Anyone who thinks he isn’t going to go after the bastards isn’t thinking right.

In other words, they are.

More gum flapping. We are now less than 11 months until election day. If Barr was serious about “going after the bastards” he never would have allowed Horowitz to slow walk his whitewash for nearly a year.

Why even bother with an impeachment vote? Good question.

So the fake media can parrot how they impeached Trump over and over again until the election. It won't work of course. The dems are doomed.

I think the Senate should put out a long list of witnesses they will subpoena when it goes to the Senate. They should call every rat on the house committees for a start. ...

Graham has already signaled he won’t hold a trial he will just vote to dismiss. He will call no public hearings other than to let democrats “present” their “case”. He will then “settle” any remaing things in Committee.

I was referring to a report that the House members were told not to leave to go home before Dec 22. If the whole House votes to impeach next week then depending which day it is then they are on schedule or even ahead of schedule.

I am in the minority in that I do not think the Dems will have the votes to impeach in their caucus. They have 31 vulnerable Dems in Trump districts and most of them will be goners if they vote to impeach. They are hearing from their constituents now. All that is needed is that 16 switch or just push for censure so they can survive the next election. Pelosi will not be able to whip people who know they will not be there next term if they vote for impeachment.I think that is why she is leaking that she will not be whipping them as CYA because she already knows they view their survival more importantly than they do hers.

You don’t believe that crap that the democrats are not going to exert any pressure to secure the impeachment vote do you? Such nonsense should not be printed. They will do everything and anything to secure the vote.

Graham can do all that with his 1 vote? He will have no control over what happens when the Senate receives articles of impeachment. He’s a blowhard.
