I am in the minority in that I do not think the Dems will have the votes to impeach in their caucus. They have 31 vulnerable Dems in Trump districts and most of them will be goners if they vote to impeach. They are hearing from their constituents now. All that is needed is that 16 switch or just push for censure so they can survive the next election. Pelosi will not be able to whip people who know they will not be there next term if they vote for impeachment.I think that is why she is leaking that she will not be whipping them as CYA because she already knows they view their survival more importantly than they do hers.

Those 31 members lost when the voted to proceed. No amount of getting cute will fix that. You say you didn't vote for impeachment and you are a Democrat and you lose a sizable chunk of your Dem base and a few looney Ind. That alone will cause your demise. You vote for it and you lose, maybe by less but you lose. Dems are headed for a 1994 style wipeout. I bet we get 28+ of those 31 back and few Democrat pickups, maybe 3-5. Where this will really hurt is the Senate, Michigan looks like it is play for a flip now. President...please...not a 1984 style wipeout but a solid win for Trump. Pelosi in her zeal committed party Hari Kari. We are watching the left disintegrate before our eyes into factions of socialist, deviants and arrogant jagoffs. When that Puerto Rican ignoramus AOC is the future of your party, you know you got issues.
