As a prepare for summary judgment hearing today in LA in Vernon Unsworth v. Elon Musk, the news of our teams huge win in Covington, KY reaffirms my career-long belief that our system of justice works. Nicholas Sandmann deserves his day in court against WaPo. Now he will get it.— Lin Wood (@LLinWood) October 28, 2019
Hope he takes them for all they are worth and they shut the doors.
They have been crap news for so long I’m shocked has taken this long for it to happen. Finally someone has a solid case and they had an opportunity to get out of it, but were too stupid to just do a retraction. Now they get to PAY.
I saw this response, which tells me that the Compost has probably cleaned up and deleted all their internal communications by now:
This is a huge win. Now #NickSandmann will be able to start discovery and find out exactly what the reporters were thinking when they attacked Nicholas and the #CovingtonCatholic kids.
The ruling bodes will for the NBC and CNN cases, as well.
The truism is "bodes well ..."! Sheesh!
As for the article, having had my overflow of Swedish smirks, I'll take our native son's any day of the week!
No settlement please.
Go to trial and nail WaPo with punitive damages as well as general damages and costs.
what happened here? Did the case get remanded after Lin Wood appealed it?
Discovery!
It is a big deal.
This is excellent news!
Hope this young man wins his case.
What the media did to him was horrible.
The wheels of justice move slowly.
I do not believe that this report is true.
