Democrats are accusing Attorney General William Barr of using the Justice Department to do President Donald Trump's political bidding.
Democratic criticism of the attorney general comes amid media reports that a department probe into the FBI's investigation connections between Russia and the Trump 2016 campaign has now become a criminal investigation. Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, accused Barr on Sunday of “weaponizing” the Justice Department. Meanwhile, Senate Democrats have called on Barr to recuse himself from the department's investigation.
"Bill Barr, on the president’s behalf, is weaponizing the Justice Department to go after the president’s enemies,” Schiff said on ABC‘s “This Week with George Stephanopoulos.” “He’s demonstrating once again that he is merely a tool of the president, the president’s hand, not the representative of the American people.”
Trump has repeatedly called on Barr to investigate how the FBI began its Russia probe. John Durham, the U.S. attorney for Connecticut, is leading that effort. The Justice Department’s Office of the Inspector General has also been conducting an investigation into aspects of the FBI's Russia probe. That report is expected to be released in the near future.

Seems they didn’t mind when Holder declared himself to be Barky’s wing man.
The thing that makes no sense is why would Barr put his distinguished neck on the line and unjustly prosecute other members of his distinguished club for a man like Trump that he never met before in his life and who was never a member of the club.
Barr doesn’t owe Trump any loyalty or political debt. It would be much easier for Barr to just keep his head down and not make waves like Sessions did. Fortunately there are still men who respect the value of truth and just can’t abide the smell of corrupt power. Barr is a watchdog and he protects the truth like his flock against the ever present wolves of power drunk despots. Thank God.

Since this crap with Schiff and Nadler fighting Barr, I’m thankful to God for Sydney Powell. In digging out proofs of the corrupt prosecution of Gen. Lynch, she has revealed that what she has found, is just one of the corrupt tentacles of a ginormous corrupt DOJ, FBI, CIA, Congressional and presidential corrupt octopus going all the way up to Obama and his cabinet. She won’t permit Barr to finnesse any of it, even if he wanted to.
Democrats weaponized the DOJ to frame their enemies.
Trump is restoring the DOJ to go after real corruption.

He IS the head of the “intelligence” committee and the intelligence agencies are up to their neck in this. Not hard to believe that they leaked secrets to him to get his help with the coup. Beyond that, he acts guilty.
