Why should the Chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee get a pass? No one is more frustrated with the empty promises of Lindsey Graham than I am. The Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, who must stand for re-election to his South Carolina Senate seat in 2020, has spent this entire year rushing before the nearest TV camera to make empty promise after empty promise about his plans to force people to testify before his committee.
Hes done this so many times, he has become the Senates version of the boy who cried wolf. Its to the point now where it is near-impossible to take the guy seriously anymore. On his nightly Fox News program last night, Tucker Carlson aired an entire segment on the issue, which included an interview with Senator Rand Paul:

So, yes, Sen. Graham is failing in his duty as chairman. I wrote early this year that, due to his rumored lifestyle, Graham may be one of the most easily-compromised members of the Senate, and it certainly appears as if he has been compromised, and is afraid to exercise the powers of his chairmanship. This is sad and detestable, but it really should come as no surprise to anyone.
Graham richly deserves every bit of criticism he gets from Carlson, Sen. Paul and anyone else who weighs in on this subject no argument there. His committee has jurisdiction over everything that took place within the Department of Justice and the FBI during 2016 through 2018, and it is now crystal clear Graham has no intention of making any effort whatsoever to hold anyone accountable.
His committee also has the power to subpoena each and every witness being interrogated in the basement of the Capitol Building by Adam Schiff in the fake impeachment charade, but it is obvious now that Graham, despite his threats, has no intention of doing that, either. He deserves to be primaried by a real conservative Republican next year, and to be defeated.
But there is another very powerful Chairman of a very powerful Senate committee the Intelligence Committee who also has jurisdiction over every action the coup cabal took during the past three years, and who also has done literally nothing to try to hold anyone accountable.
That Chairman is RINO Richard Burr of North Carolina, and he seems to just get a pass from Carlson and Paul and everyone else for his studious inaction. If anything, given what we now know today about the Comey/Brennan operation Crossfire Hurricane, which involved multiple efforts to entrap members of the Trump campaign by foreign CIA operatives on foreign soil, Burrs committee should have and even more compelling reason to hold hearings and subpoena witnesses to try to ferret out the truth and hold officials accountable.
But crickets. Not just from Burr and his committee, but from Tucker Carlson, Rand Paul and everyone else.
Has Sen. Burr been compromised by the deep state, too? Or does he just not give a damn? Either way, the public deserves to know what in the hell is going on here?
That is all.
Being compromised is the only reason I can think of that a PK would go against his values. Burr is like Graham.
Graham is the poster boy for term limits.
Fair point: Burr gets no attention, positive or negative. He’s not known at all outside of the Beltway and his home state. That’s probably why Tucker and Senator Paul don’t target him. Maybe they should. He’s useless.
Burr is a rat stooge. If they are going to go after Linda they sure as hell should go after Burr.
The difference is Graham is the one chasing the cameras while Burr stays away from the public eye.
Burr is as deep a Deep Stater that exists.
The GOP wants Trump gone... it is plain as day...the question can the democrats convince the public that Trump must go..if they do then the Senate will go alone..
THERE ALL CROOKS>>
It is Trump against the deep state...Looks the IG report will be a bust..
Burr isn’t running for reelection so he’s even more immune to political pressure as a typical stooge is.
I expect nothing from the IG report. At the very least I expect Piere to get enough turncoats to give the rats thier majority to convict if there is an impeachment vote. We can thank God Mtch and Linda are both up on 20 that could be the only thing that will keep the rats from getting the votes needed to remove.
Absolutely agree on Sen Blurr as we call him in NC ( former lawn mower salesman )! You’d never see nor hear from him except just before an election - now not running again we hear good riddance - not worth a damn - oh he’s quietly made his bundle I;m sure and guess if he has grand kids down give a damn if they grow up in a Venezuela environment selfish bastard! He has done nothing to help Trump or expose the the corrupt deep state in intel and he is Chairman of that Committee - too much damn work or too much in his closet - suspect both and until he does something I will tell everyone I see in NC and online same!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Know some CPAs, engineers and and other local prominent folks along with myself who have told him to stay the hell away from NC when he retires as we can stand the DC smell and stench by here at home in NC - worthless POS!
Meant to say “CAN’T STAND SMELL AND STENCH FROM DC” - sorry!
Burr is Warners punkboy.
I detest Congress love of “seniority” as a right, as incurring any privileges, as in “next in line” for a committee or chairmanship.
I would prefer committee assignments and the chair person of any committee be chosen by secret ballot votes. It should not be how dam long your stupid constituents have re-elected you. It should be because you have the demonstrated smarts for particular subject of government, your peers recognize that and nomiate and vote for you. “Seniority” should have nothing to do with it.
I remember how he spoke against Bill Clinton when the House was ramping up impeachment. Then when push came to shove, Lindsay voted against conviction. Now he says if there was a proven quid pro quo by Trump, he could vote for conviction? Graham talks a good game but when it’s time to produce, there’s nothing there.

I wish we all with some honest GOPers in the Senate, could corner Graham in a closed room and confront him with his personal and leadership problems; demanding answers.
If Graham can be compromised due to his personal life, the best thing he can do is to end any secrets about it. He’d have more character if he did, whether he lost his next election or not. At least it would mean he could not be compromised, and then if he still did not get his act together as committee chairman, everyone would know his other secret is that he’s a secret Democrat.
It’s a race. It is impeachment versus Russia hoax investigation. This will not play out until spring. As long as judges are getting confirmed, I’m ok with the wait.
Linda should comenout of the closet and end the speculation
Then whatever compromising information about him would be nullified and she should start tearing people/traitors up...
Burr is certainly complicit.
And Graham may be.
