That last picture should be in “OUT” magazine
I remember the first day I was in a new doctor’s office and a magazine called “OUT” or something like that was on the table.
I thought it was about the outdoors.
It wasn’t :)
I wasn’t rude. Met the doctor. Kept clothes on!!
Never went back.
Only in Manhattan.
I became disgusted with pantyhose decades ago, and went back to stockings and garter belt. Much more comfortable; and when one ran, you didn’t have to ditch the whole pair.
I hope so. It's always looked absurd.
On the other hand, at church last Sunday, I saw a teenaged girl wearing denim shorts over dark leggings. If that's the next fad ... well, at least it's warmer than bare legs and flip-flops for winter ...
Oh you mean when when women were actually feminine?
The times I’ve visited the U.K., I am that good bit surprised to see how pantyhose or stockings are still very much in fashion for teenage girls and upward, compared to what I see back here in North America. Who remembers when Princess Kate came here and the Hollywood and New York people were taken aback about her wearing pantyhose for basically every public appearance she made?
Yoga pants
As a red-blooded male I want to shake the hand of the inventor of yoga pants
As a father I want to choke-slam the inventor of yoga pants
Hate the look and feel of a naked foot in any shoe.
I see this first post when I open up FR and am immediately reminded of what this beautiful-voiced woman was wearing on her legs. Guys if you have socks on...take them off, or this will knock them off...

Picture #2 would nicely represent my opinion on the issue.
As a guy I tend to notice. And am guilty of staring a little too long.
Seems to me bare legs are common in the summer probably due to the heat. Panty hose or stockings (impossible to tell without shoe mirrors) are winter apparel.
There. Ive exposed my ignorance. Its all I know on the subject.
I’ll be glad if the bare legged days are over. Then we wouldn’t have to be looking at so many ugly heels - really ugly - due to not wearing hose. But I guess it’s what made the mani-pedi business flourish so women can go in and get those horrible looking feet with cracks etc., taken care of. I still have a supply of new pantyhose and I still wear them when needed but never would I go barelegged wearing a skirt..aged women do screwy things, I guess!
I loved how I looked when I wore hose - pre-retirement. I hated the discomfort, though. Much like high heels. Eleven years after retirement I still have 10 boxes of Leggs in my drawer. Why?
