Fort Collins, Colorado, decided not to continue its challenge to a federal court’s decision that a ban on going topless in the city amounts to unconstitutional discrimination, NBC News reported.
The city had argued that a repeal of the ban would lead to women “parading in front of elementary schools or swimming topless in the public pool,” according to the report.
The city decided not to appeal the decision this month after spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on the legal battle already, NBC reported.
The decision to not move forward with the appeal effectively legalizes the practice in the six states covered by the 10th Circuit court, according to the report.
Women will now be able to go topless in Colorado, Kansas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Utah and Wyoming because of the decision.

And I have long RESENTED that men do not have to wear a shirt. And they look MUCH worse all hairy on chest and nasty hairy armpits. I am straight but still think women look much less offensive shirtless than hairy men do.

Went back to eastern OK in ‘17 up in the red mud hills west of Poteau where my GGPa filled out his WWI Draft Card while working at a mine/lumber operation up just west of Calhoun.
Other than the personal connections my favorite place on that trip was Exit 262 off I-40: Lotawatah Road, which runs N/S along the east flank of Lake Eufaula; one of the largest lakes — if not THE largest lake — in OK.

Why is this website bringing up an OLD case? This happened in 2016 and the ruling is from Feb. 2017. Not that I want toplessness everywhere, but I have no problem with nudity in designated areas.
