This week marks Climate Week 2019. Climate change affects all of us, and each of us can make a difference in our own way, big or small.
To show how we can take Climate Action into our own hands, a poster has been hung on the cafeteria wall. Each student and staff member can show commitment to combatting climate change by writing on the poster something they did that day or week to make a positive difference for our planet. We are aiming for 100% participation by the XYZ High School Community.
Thank you for your support, and lets make this week one where we dedicate ourselves to learning about how to protect our planet from the dire consequences of the accelerating changes that threaten our planet Earth.
Some people do think climate change is a serious problem, and they can engage in activism on their own time. There are many other political causes out there, and it's wrong for schools to elevate one issue above all others and to tell people what to do and think.
makes me sick. Wish there was a group of hellraiser parents to protest this propaganda right outside the schools every day!
HS ping.
"Do you know what they're teaching us in school? That humans are destroying the planet and killing the oceans and we're all going to die from global warming. That's all they talk about."
To which I asked:
"Do any of the children fall for that nonsense?"
She said: "Some DO!"
Get the children OUT of government-run, teachers union influenced public education.
Where is this happening?
A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT should be made against the DEPARTMENT of EDUCATION for brainwashing school aged children in pseudo science and exploiting them for political purposes.
And yet, anyone with a basic knowledge of real science could soundly defeat any of these “skool teechers” in a debate about supposedly human-caused climate change.
And so goes that vaunted “eddikashun” degree.
They use their students as props.
We live in Massachusetts.
those eyes are lifeless. . . . .
Here at my kids school, Some kids left with their parents to go to Berkeley and San Francisco to go to a protest and it was completely on authorized and theyre getting punished
And this is Marin county !
I wonder if the tweeter used proper hazmat procedures? Has the “small crew” been sued by the unions yet?
