My choice. Old and antiquish but it does the job and never misses. Scare power is awesome. Not much good if you are being invaded but perfect for a home break-in. Overland Stage DB 12ga.

A guy I know does a lot of hunting in Alaska. He says the guides all carry double-barrel shotguns as defense against bears. When he asked about that, one guide told him you’re only going to get - at most - two shots off anyway.

I guess that guide would be out of luck if he were attacked by a herd of bears.

Ah, the ol’ side-by-side Granny gun. That one looks in nice shape. A nice wall-hanger when it’s not being put to use. I got an H&R home defense pump with 16” barrel in 12 ga, and me being me, I had to kit it out with a tactical stock and grip with shell holder, rear rail, holo reflex sight/laser, and low light forward barrel sight. I’m known for a little bling overkill, except for the .22 cowboy shooters we have, and even then I ordered custom tooled leather for mine.
