Who Is Antifa? What You Need To Know

There is no strong Fascist movement in America, but there is a strong Communist presence. Popular phrases such as social justice that Obama put into fashion are popular communist signals

Antifaschistische Aktion, abbreviated as Antifa or anti-fascist, was an organization affiliated with the Communist Party of Germany that existed from 1932 to 1933. In the postwar era the historical organization inspired new groups and networks, known as the wider Antifa movement, many of which use the aesthetics of the historical Antifaschistische Aktion, especially a modified version of its logo. There is much confusion as to who Antifa is, and what they stand for. First, let’s define fascism that they say they are against: Fascism is a set of political beliefs that includes strong control of society and the economy by the state, and the halting of any resistance. In a fascist nation, private enterprise would continue, but all private commercial endeavors would be heavily controlled by the state. Examples would be Nazi Germany and Mussolini’s Italy.

Those who lived under both NAZI and Communist rule, such as citizens of Hungary, have stated that as horrific as the NAZIs were, the Communists were even worse.

I had a interesting conversation with my liberal son. He told me about a radical, angry friend of his who wanted to join ANTIFA. His friend found people who put up posters to attend rallies. His friend found fellow kindred spirits to go out and raise hell. But his friend never found an “organization.” No group that meet the third Thursday of each month at a local bar, no membership, no elected leaders, etc.

We talked about it and I couldn’t help but think back on anarchists and wonder if we are trying to turn turn these thugs into more than they are? They clearly want to “cloak” themselves into a bigger movement than they are.

It’s interesting that in the 1930s, Antifa communists actually drove Germans to vote Nazi because Antifa was so violent. So, we can thank Antifa and their tactics for their part in bringing about the Second World War.
