Trump Order Also Grants Barr Power To Declassify Still-Secret Hillary Docs

For the past three years, Washington’s gatekeepers have covered up evidence of two potentially massive and overlapping public-corruption scandals that, if fully exposed, threaten to shake the nation to its core.

One involves the Obama administration spying on the Trump campaign while sexing-up Russian interference in the 2016 election to justify it. The other involves it pulling punches in the Hillary Clinton email investigation and clearing her of criminal wrongdoing just in time for the Democratic National Convention.

President Donald Trump has granted his plucky new attorney general the power to rip the cover off both these election-year scandals.

Trump’s recent declassification order not only helps Attorney General William Barr dig into the earliest days of the Trump-Russia investigation to see the full extent of surveillance measures ordered by Obama officials. It also puts him in a position to declassify still-secret documents generated during the highly irregular Clinton probe, which absolved her of mishandling state secrets transmitted through her unauthorized basement email-server before agents could even interview her.

White House lawyers wrote the May 23 order in a way that delegates sweeping authority to Barr to declassify or un-redact documents covering both 2016 presidential investigations. This is key, because the same former Justice Department and FBI officials who led the Russia “collusion” investigation also headed the Clinton inquiry.

Oh and not only will the Swamp win again but Nadler will proceed to impeach Trump for obstructing the investigation that was falsely started. The cherry on top will be this leftist disgrace of a Judge in DC declaring that Ohr and McCabe were wrongfully terminated.

We already know the MVP’s, even w/o a program.

If you really believe that why are you even here?

The republic is done you might as well go curl up in the shower in the fetal position and cry

At least those with a positive out look won’t have to listen to the incessant “nothing is happening” whining despite the daily evidence to the contrary
In the meantime

Understatement of the day, Ann Archy.

In some ways, I really feel bad for the President. Who the hell can he trust? He doesn’t know any of these people. He can only go on the words of others. Quite a few of picks, who came from outside the political world, turned down the offers, withdrew when it was clear the professional politicians were going to do everything to oppose them or they felt that they couldn’t cleanly break away from their private business dealings. So far, other than Ross, Lighthizer, Mnuschin, Dr Carson and now, Pompeo, everyone sucks. I mean Perdue, Perry, and whoever are bit players in the grand scheme of things.

But it seems like all the other high profile picks have done nothing but undermine him. It’d probably be amazing what the man would be able to accomplish if he had some legit help.

No, I do not give PDJT a pass for populating his inner circle and cabinet with swamp creatures. Sure, plenty bowed out because they didn’t want to deal with a hostile media and Democrat party. Still, there are plenty who would sacrifice just about everything to save this country.

I guarantee you if the President chose ONLY from the pool of patriots that make up the FreeRepublic family, he would find enouth - more than enough - willing players to go to battle.

That is all he ever had to do. No more, and no less.

And as for those who claim “experience, experience! What about the political experience?!”, to that I say, take a look where that experience got him (and us) so far.

HILLARY AND OBAMA LEFT A FORMIDABLE GLOBAL PAPER TRAIL

Former Italian PM may have plotted with Obama to remove Trump

Members of Italian intelligence were approached by Hillary Clinton, the Obama Administration, and the Deep State in order to frame Trump by PLANTING EVIDENCE on American servers to force Trump to step down from office.

EXCLUSIVE: Rumors Swirling that Fired Italian Spies Were Connected in Plot to Eliminate Trump
GATEWAY PUNDIT ^ | 5/25/2019 | Joe Hoft / FR Posted by bitt

Rumors are swirling that the recent firings of top Italian spies were related to Obama and a plot to set up candidate and President Trump in a Hillary email scandal. Earlier this month Italian Prime Minister Conte asked for the resignations of four top intelligence officials after his call with President Donald Trump. And now another Internet Sleuth has uncovered some shocking news related to the recent removal of these top Italian intelligence ministers from their positions as top spies in the government.

The story begins in January 2017 when Computer World wrote about alleged crimes committed by Italian Giulio Occhionero: The Tuesday arrest of Giulio Occhionero and his sister, Francesca Maria, has brought to light what appears to be the biggest, and highest-profile, hacking of institutional and corporate accounts ever reported in Italy. The siblings have been planting the Pyramid Eye remote access Trojan on computers using a spear-phishing technique over several years, according to the arrest order. They attacked at least 18,000 high-profile targets, including former Prime Ministers Matteo Renzi and Mario Monti, President of European Central Bank Mario Draghi, as well as employees and heads of various ministries including Internal Affairs, Treasury, Finance and Education. Nunes: ‘Someone was running an op against the Trump campaign on FOREIGN soil’
The National Sentinel ^ | 5/31/19 | Jon Dougherty / FR Posted by SleeperCatcher

House Intelligence Committee Ranking Member Devin Nunes told Fox News‘ Sean Hannity Thursday night that he is certain “someone” was running an intelligence operation against the 2016 Trump campaign “on foreign soil,” and that one or more U.S. allies were likely involved. “I think we can be sure about one thing and that is on foreign soil, someone was running operations against Trump campaign people,” he said. “Now, we don’t know if that was our government, if it was the British government or some type of firm of some kind, but I think it is definitely a fact that on British soil, maybe on Italian soil, there were activities going on that we need to get to the bottom of.” (Excerpt) Read more at thenationalsentinel.com ...

Australian Government Confirms Official Role in “Spygate”…
CONSERVATIVE TREEHOUSE ^ | 4/18/2019 | SUNDANCE / FR Posted by bitt
In response to media inquiry and FOIA demands, the government of Australia formally admitted today to the role of High Commissioner Alexander Downer and his engagements with George Papadopoulos in 2016. The timing coincides with the Mueller Report (released today), which states it was information about this engagement from Alexander Downer that opened the FBI counterintelligence investigation in July 2016. The Australian government cited the conclusion of the Robert Mueller special counsel investigation as the background for their willingness to comply with an 15-month-old FOIA request from Buzzfeed News. CIRCA 2017---Barack Obama transfers $500m to Green Climate Fund to protect Paris deal last days in office;
That's Obama's second $500M withdrawn from State Dept using executive powers; bypassing congressional support.
Michael Slezak / Tue 17 Jan 2017 / Last modified on Wed 14 Feb 2018

Barack Obama has transferred a second $500m installment from the State Dept to the Green Climate Fund just three days before he leaves office. Photograph: Evan Vucci/AP Barack Obama has heeded calls to help secure the future of the historic Paris agreement by transferring a second $500m instalment to the Green Climate Fund, just three days before he leaves office. The fund was a key aspect of the Paris agreement signed in 2015, which aims to keep global warming “well below” 2C and aspires to keep warming to 1.5C. Established in 2010, it is financed by wealthy countries and used to assist developing countries with adaptation and mitigation. It was widely seen as a key measure to bring both rich and poor countries to the negotiating table. The US committed to transferring $3bn to the fund. The new installment leaves $2bn owing, with the incoming president, Donald Trump, expected to cease any further payments.

Just barely. What follows is nothing but: But I want it now

I don't think these posters are complaining about it happening too slowly. I'm sure they would wait if it seemed like something was happening. So your meme doesn't apply. Instead, I believe they are complaining that NOTHING is happening.

And it's hard to blame them after what we endured, which was 18 months of a recused, do-nothing AG, Jeff Sessions.

Anyway, unlike the former AG, Bill Barr isn't recused, and perhaps things will happen.

All of this is why I think skepticism, not cynicism and not fantasies that things are happening, is the realistic approach to take.

I'm skeptical, but I think it's still TBD.

I can’t say that I disagree with you, in some way, but who is he going to pick. He can only pick from the group that wants the job. He had that one guy, from NY, that owned the Rangers or something, that he wanted to run the VA. Guy was a veteran ended up making a fortune. Bowed out citing he couldn’t distance himself from his business.

He picked Mattis. The Old Warhorse that damn near every Marine would perform oral on and he turned out to be more Deep State than anyone expected.

Same thing for Kelly, Tillerson, Sessions. He can pull from the talent pool that is available.

For FBI Director, one thing I’d love to see is him pick a police chief or someone like Sheriff Clarke. Aside from Clarke, most chiefs are politicians and serve the same masters of the Deep State. The big city police chiefs are just as liberal as anyone. And I doubt he’d get some old school law and order Sheriff to make it out of committee. Think about it ... the President meets and talks with some chief and is blown away... fires Wray and nominates the new guy .... first question from Feinstien ...Chief, how large is your department? Senator I’m the chief of police of a 1000 person department. Chief, do you have any experience running a 16000 person agency of the federal government? No mam....NEXT!!!

And all the people in the upper echelons of the government are holdovers from Bush 1, clinton, Bush 2 and the last guy in the White House. Damn near all of them as incompetent and malicious as the next, but they’re there.

I’d love to see him ask someone like Col West to head DHS but he’ll be crucified in a Senate hearing over getting rough with an iraqi.

He had two picks for the Federal Reserve that didn’t make it a week or two before they backed out citing family concerns.

The other side is playing for keeps. This other night, showing up at McConnell’s house, threatening and Twitter taking down HIS account for showing footage of the protesters. Do you think those protesters just happened to show up there? Someone sent them. Someone paid them.

Skepticism is healthy. Cynicism is deadly. I am rather pleased, and a little bit confident in that Dunham is playing it close to the vest instead of showboating and leaking as was the case with mueller's attempted coup.
