Transhumanism is the belief that humans can be modified through selective breeding and technological advancements. The main goal is to advance humans through things like AI, nanomedicine and other medical technologies that can control the body.
Critics of Transhumanism relate the philosophy to eugenics.
Jeffrey Epstein admittedly wanted to weave his DNA into humanity by simultaneously impregnating twenty women at his New Mexico ranch. He also donated money to multiple people and organizations that support Transhumanism.

People have already started editing their genes - not their children’s, but changing the genes active in their current bodies. The tools are now getting better very quickly - each year to the next.
Direct brain to machine interfaces have been around for a few decades now. Rush Limbaugh is one of many such a cybernetic humans, with a cochlear hearing aid interfacing directly to his brain, via implanted electrodes. The band width of such connections continues to expand, and there is no theoretical reason that it could not reach Internet speeds of megabits per second.
In the future, brains could possibly be genetically engineered to be optimized for electronic interface, even using that instead of the existing sense organs. They could be massively connected in parallel, like in The Matrix - to produce currently unimaginable levels of cognition. Perhaps in the first half of this century.
Hopefully, such dramatically superhuman minds will be kind enough to keep the rest of us as pets.
