HUD Secretary Ben Carson weighed in on President Trump's feud with Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-MD) and his comments about the city of Baltimore. Carson said he agreed the city is in bad condition and suggested to President Trump today to work with Rep. Cummings to bring "some relief" to the city.
"I don't think Elijah Cummings is a bad person," Carson said in an interview with FNC's Tucker Carlson. "I think he actually is working hard to try to help people. And I certainly don't think President Trump is a bad person. He's working very hard in fact, I asked him today, would you be willing to work with Elijah Cummings to bring some relief to the people of Baltimore? He said he would be happy to."

Carson's head is distorted by illogic, Baltimore does not deserve to have "more relief".
The only thing Trump need to "work with Rep. Cummings to bring "some relief" to the city" is -
to appoint an outside Federal gubmint accountant, to give us a clear picture of where all the money went to and for what purpose. Down to the last penny.
And what does "Cummings is not a bad person" got to do with things??!!???
Yeh right....The President is now expected to clean up all the crap cities....which are more than likely Dem strongholds.
You would be quite wrong, Ben. There is not a single person that can name one thing Cummings has done for the people of his district, let alone the people of These United States.
Guess where Cummings lives.
I disagree.
The media doesn’t like to really cover it, but President Trump has consistently been willing to work with, make deals, and help anyone who wants help. His opponents, on the other hand, fold their arms refuse to engage.
Blacks need to get off the plantation. They need to see the Republicans truly want to engage and help make their lives better. President Trump is sincere. But will the Democrats (Cummings) see this as an opportunity to help his people? Or will he grandstand and attack the person who is extending a helping hand?
Carson and Trump are engaging in smart politics with an eye toward 2020 and bringing blacks back into the Republican party, where they belong.
“suggested to President Trump today to work with Rep. Cummings to bring “some relief” to the city.”
If Carson has been paying attention to what Cummings has been doing for the past decades he would know how corrupt he is. When has he ever had time to do anything for his district when he has spent all of his time chairing and obstructing committees that were supposed to be looking into wrong doing. He’s been the fox in charge of the hen house. Now with the investigation into his wife’s ‘charity’ it’s not looking good for him. Maybe he’ll go down from his corruption and Baltimore will be smart enough to elect someone that will work with POTUS. That’s the best the residents of that city can hope for.
Did anyone hear Ben say that there were times he ordered more tests just to keep a kid at the hospital a few days longer to keep them from going home? (Paraphrased)
Democrats will open hearings against Carson for malpractice or some kind of insurance fraud.
You are exactly right. I like Carson, but he is apparently unable to realize Baltimores problems are caused only partly by four legged rats; the main problem, which Carson does not perceive, are the two legged rats like Cummings.
“bad person”
All commies are bad. They want to make their living taking other people’s property by force.
Just a group of barbarians pillaging the villages.
Thanks, I needed a good chuckle to start the day.
There are other priorities for money well spent....
On a related note, Jared’s family & companies will soon be DJT’s doghouse. Apparently they own many of these west Baltimore properties and have been cited...if the media is correct on this one.
Sorry, Ben
Here’s some logic 101 for you.
1. No democrats are “good people.” Sorry, but that’s the truth. They are destructive, morally and intellectually challenged inferior human beings who demand that reality conforms to their childish wishes and destructive impulses.
They are at best mentally ill and at worst pure evil.
2. Cummings is a democrat.
3. Therefore, Cummings is NOT a “good person.”
Who knew that Ben Carson was a black racist? Sarcasm off.
Baltimore can rot.
They made their bed bug, rat, crime infested bed. Now they can lay in it.
Baltimore is a Democrat run, Democrat created third world hell hole.
“The President is now expected to clean up all the crap cities....which are more than likely Dem strongholds.”
As I said earlier, it’s a 2-part solution: the city needs to do rodent extermination and the residents of the affected areas need to quit creating the filth that attracts the rodents.
I really think we make a mistake if we cast Baltimore aside and act like we don’t care about black citizens. Politically, we have a huge opportunity to take voters away from the Democrats. We need to be smart to capture that demographic. It’s not pandering — it’s helping US citizens.
Yep. That is the weak link here and Dems have grabbed it.
But if he is part of the problem he should be held accountable.
It may be his family owns them but he divested
Btw..I hope he didnt get any of that HUD money because Dems are surely checking
Death Panel Ben
“
The most natural question is, who will pay for catastrophic health care? The answer: The government-run catastrophic health care fund. Such a fund would be supported by a mandatory contribution of 10 to 15 percent of the profits of each health insurance company, including managed care operations[...]
As our general population continues to age and as our technical abilities continue to improve we will find ourselves in a position of being able to keep most people alive...well beyond their 100th birthday. The question is “Should we do it simply because we can? It is well known that up to half of the medical expenses incurred in the average American’s life are incurred during the last six months of life....rather than putting them in an intensive care unit, poking and prodding them, operating and testing them ad nauseam, why not allow them the dignity of dying in comfort, at home, with an attendant if necessary?...Decisions on who should be treated and who should not be treated would clearly require some national guidelines [...]”

lots of pretty negative issues about ben at that site- not just his death panel advocating
The local Baltimore media has had an infatuation with Kushner’s apartment properties since Trump beat the PIAP in 2016. The company has been criticized for taking legal actions to get dead-beat tenants evicted. That’s just sound business practice. When you have a majority of black tenants in neighborhoods where Kushner’s properties are located, you are going to have a greater percentage of tenant complaints about mold, rodents, plumbing problems etc. That’s the way they roll. Since all the lead paint and asbestos have long been abated, mold is about the only thing the dead-beats can sue Mister Deep Pockets Landlord for now. Every morning I drive through a corner of Baltimore City on my way to work. At one intersection, there is a Kushner-owned apartment complex on the left (southwest corner) and on the other side (northwest corner) another apartment complex. Both of these properties were developed within a year or two of each other in the mid ‘60’s. Kushner’s property has a relatively new 8’ wrought iron fence around the property perimeter. The common areas are nicely landscaped and always well maintained with no weeds and the grass cut. The parking lots appear to have been recoated with asphalt and re-lined within the past year or two. The property on the right is not fenced, lawn is mostly burned out, asphalt parking lots full of potholes, junked cars on blocks, etc. I’d bet that most of Kushner’s tenants might not say it but are really glad he provides them a much better than average place to live.
