Yesterday there was a power outage in Manhattan, I won't call it massive because some people had a problem with that word. Originally it was stated a transformer fire was the cause of the outage, now Con Ed says there is no evidence of a fire.....call me paranoid, but my ears perk up with I hear things like this...

Was it a power production problem or was
it a transmission/distribution problem?
Can’t...or won’t?
....Or is it just the fact that AC’s and fans were running?
Bingo! We have a winner!
Isn’t that “explainable” though?
Its not that big of a deal. We wouldn’t admit that they did it anyway; so everything is back up and fine now.
And that is OK with me.
IOW, a surreptitious terror attack.
Best way to do it without raising suspicions and taking the heat for it.
Maybe a kid hit an electric pole with a bat or something.....
It was either a fuse or something else.
It was either a fuse or something else.

I agree and that was the reason for my question. They may never find
the real cause but only things that could have caused it.
My first thought was Iran.
Its improbable that ConEd cant explain the power outage, its pretty certain that they wont explain it for some reason
A cyber attack or terrorist sabotage a very likely explanation, but political pressure to implement restrictive green, PC regulations are also just as likely
Testing out the Green New Deal. No AC. No tv.
I have not heard anyone say - but my guess is AC overload on a hot night - we shall see . . .
I am thinking some homeless guy took a whiz.... I bet : )

“Not to be paranoid but hearing this the timing of it happening 42 years to the day after the 1977 blackout make one a little suspicious.”
There are no coincidences.
