So you have undertaken the ritual holiday pilgrimage to the giver of all earthly delights the “Beer Store”?

Retsina is fermented in pine resin barrels just like the ancients did.
You got use to Retsina!!!!
How and WHY?
Bactina. Yuck.
This with pickles. Heaven.
The actual purchase was from the Beer Store’s more exalted cousin, the LCBO. That said, the pilgrimage included both of the hoppy places, and took place on foot. The town is small, though it can certainly hold its weight.
In this particular town, it is important to undertake the pilgrimage relatively early on a two-four as between the locals and the cottagers, if one goes in on Tuesday morning one would break under the impression that either locust or the WCTU had been through. (Which recalls a two-four Sunday a couple years back when I pulled into a Timmies in Huntsville to discover that all they had left in baked goods were seven Tim bits and a dozen muffins. I was sorely tempted to buy them out just to say that I have). I have heard that in a survey done some years back, the only place in Canada that outsold us on the liquor front was Whitehorse.
It does compliment really greasy Greek food nicely.
I suppose that if you have to eat Greek food, something that will cut the grease makes sense.
I own his entire catalog.
My wife and I danced to “Anything” off Cruising with Ruben and the Jets at our wedding reception.
I have a very traditional family. It’s a beautiful song.
The ancient Greeks usually mixed their wine with water. In fact the modern Greek word for wine (krasi) comes from the word for "mixing."
Impressive. I have done Canada day in Ontario a couple of times. Loaded up on scotch ale and Canada club early. Glad I did. Went back to the store with a friend a little closer to the holiday and it looked like a soviet era market.
