I agree with you. This seems legally screwy to me. All kinds of things could wind up being considered negligence which led to the death of a fetus.

It’s not a matter of negligence, it’s a matter of criminal liability. If you commit a crime, you are liable for all the consequences of that crime, even if you didn’t not intend them.

Nah, they are two separate issues. Lots of people have already been found guilty of feticide and not a one of them have been (licensed) abortion providers.

Reckless endangerment of the unborn baby sounds like a legit charge that could be pursued.
What is the definition of reckless endangerment? If a pregnant woman goes skiing, falls and has a miscarriage, is that manslaughter? That is a real slippery slope which will not be supported by 99% of women.

I’m not a lawyer, but I’d assume that physically attacking an armed woman would reasonably be considered reckless behavior that would endanger the child she was carrying.
