Ever since President Carter decided to abandon the Shah of Iran in 1979, Iran has been a thorn in the side of the United States and much of the West. Instead of a pro-West Shah, we now deal with a group of crazed Muslim clerics headed by the craziest of them all, Sayyed Ali Hosseini Khamenei who, like his predecessor, is determined to keep Iran in the 7th century, and conducts an orchestra of millions that regularly sings ‘Death to America.’
I don’t pretend to know the answer.
But I do know we here in the lower 48 are in a world of trouble with the illegal invasion, high debt loads, and stupid, stupid communists in all levels of government and government agencies.
I didn't give a sh!t about the Shah of Iran in the 1970s when I was in kindergarten. I give less of a sh!t about Iran today.
Iran is a big source of world terrorism though. The parts and technology for the real killer roadside bombs in Iraq and Afghanistan are made in and supplied by Iran. They have killed and maimed many Americans.

This is one piece of it. The main focus is that with the Iran deal Obama signed on to they also lifted the millions of dollars of funds that were being held to stop them from their efforts toward a nuclear program. It is now estimated that within 10 years, or less, they will have nuclear capability. Tack that on the that 7th century thought process and you have the beginnings of a world wide disaster. They need a leash.

Fanatics don’t respond logically. They think it is their moral imperative to destroy the world to make way for the next Imam.
This is not the USSR subscribing to Mutually assured destruction. The soviets lost tens of millions last centuries and didn’t want unuclear war. Iran thinks it is their obligation.

and hopefully, help see to a much more civilized ruler(s) there, the kind that will live peacefully with US...

But the destruction of the entire Iranian military is warranted 36 years later because the U.S. conducted a fifth-rate military operation in the middle of a civil war in some Third World dump?

Your assessment is correct. Islam, being the primary directive here, is set up so they either convert you or die trying and be rewarded for doing it in their immoral heaven. It’s very difficult for people with such a short memory of how muslims work when the people under siege seem to forget that attitude with time. Sooner or later it will bite you on the keyster as it has for a few thousand years to many civilizations. People are their own worst enemy without the experience of facing this type of attack. One that is slow, violent, and monsterous.

Not to get off track, but we have a account with Iran that needs to be settled. And I have not even mentioned the American deaths they caused during OIF/OEF.
So, who you gonna vote for in 2020? Biden/Harris/Warren/Sanders? Heck, you might even donate a few bucks to one of them....right?
