Please pray for my son, who is working in the oilfields in North Dakota. He has been experiencing excruciating pain in his feet. The pain doctor calls it neuropathy, but there isn't much they have been able to do for it. He is blessed with a job where he can sit frequently, but it does require his walking around now and then. They have tried surgery, powerful painkillers, and even CBD. He is strong and optimistic, but it's breaking my heart. PRAY!
Prayers going up...
Have him checked out for diabetes. (diabetic neuropathy)
Prayers up for your son.
Prayers for your son. FYI Normal pain killers do not work for neuropathy. A common prescription for such pain is gabapentin. Tegretol is also used. The supplement alpha lipoic acid has been shown to reduce neuropathy. I hope he finds relief.
Prayers for your son redhead. May God grant him relief and may they discover the cause and cure it
I will pray, have had it for years in one foot. Not so much pain but numbness. It has been getting better recently - we got a new bed with foot and head elevation. Have been sleeping every night with my feet all the way up. Your son may want to try that.
May God’s healing hand reach out to him.
When I had similar nephropathy it proved to be a dying tooth with referred pain.
I know it sounds crazy but have him be sure to drink lots of water.
Has he had an MRI of his spine? My wife has neuropathy in her feet, and it’s because of nerve damage in her spine. They only other source for this kind of neuropathy is type 1 Diabetes. Or so she has been told. She had a worthless primary care physician who tried to tell her they her neuropathy was due to her Type 2 diabetes, which turned out to be untrue, and i kept her from getting care for her back in a timely fashion.
R Lipoic Acid for neuropathy.
I have high arches. Also, I am having surgery to cut and remove a nuroma. I am fine only when I have a custom cast sole insert.
I can get along fine with the Dr. Scholls Custom Fit insert; go to a retail location and use the computer generated machine and get your proper mapped insole. Wal-Mart and many drug stores have them. They are $45 and worth more than their weight in Gold. EBay has them for 40-60% of cost for your additional pairs.
Please pass this along to your son, and to visit a podiatrist for his foot care.
Prayers sent for your son.
May he find some relief.
Neuropathy is an inflammatory condition damaging to the nerves and nerve endings. It causes pain whether standing. sitting. laying down; it’s always there. Addictive painkillers like Oxycodone can provide relief enough to sleep but the downside is addiction.
There is a powerful painkiller that is non-addictive, Gabapentin, but initial dosing and weening requires a doctor’s attention.
Neuropathic pain can come from a viral outbreak. It will clear in time but be very painful in the meantime. Your child needs a strong immune booster, clean hygiene and clean surroundings, and good-good sleep because deep healthy restful sleep releases a hormone from the pituitary gland that generates more stem cells to differentiate to immune cells.
But 14 or 18 hours or whatever amount of non-restful stressful sleep won’t do a bit of good. The pituitary gland will only do its thing when the body is deeply sleeping, completely calm.
The Lord will calm him in response to prayer but have him see a doctor for Gabapentin and through prayer, he can be calm and experience sleep that will fight what causes the neuropathy.
Tell him to keep clean his food, his body, his surroundings, pray deeply without ceasing, sleep restfully knowing the Lord hears his prayers and all prayers for his healing
Even after the pathogen that caused the neuropathy is cleared, the nerve endings are still damaged and the pain will remain but subside over time. With Gabapentin, the pain can be numbed to a level that allows for working and carrying on normally but it will take months before one can be weened off the Gabapentin.
My prayers are with you and your son.
May the Healing Hand of our LORD touch him...Amen
My feet were so painful that I was in excruciating pain 24 hours a day. I begged to have them amputated. Then we were going on an Alaska cruise. I had not worn ‘closed toe shoes’ in years. I hobbled around in pain. Then I tried Sketchers shoes. They have been my salvation. My feet are still not great, but I can walk and get around pretty well now for an old grandma. They have arch support and a memory foam insole. Not a perfect solution, but now I can walk again.
I have bad arches, plantar fasciistis, sharp large bone spurs, hammer toes....
I’ll gladly pray for your son, as I experience the same sort of pain from chemotherapy leftovers. May he find relief quickly.
Gee, if both feet hurt the same, it seems like it may be a spinal/back nerve. God bless and prayers are on the way.
