Does New Jersey now have a state college system. Back in the day, admittedly quite a few years ago, NJ did not have a state college system hence there were lots of NJ students at the private California college I attended. I learned to differentiate an NJ accent from a NY accent.

There no New Jersey U or Jersey State
but Rutgers is the state college system, there’s multiple campuses scattered throughout the state
