Dear Freepers,
of your charity please pray for my nephew Jak.
He is dangerously ill after complications arising from appendicitus.
Please also pray for his mother and sisters, who (as you can imagine) are terribly worried.
warm regards,
Agere Contra
Things looked dire yesterday, but I'm glad to say that Jak has responded well to the antibiotic treatment.
He's much more cheerful today, and there was even some talk of him coming home.
(heavy sigh of relief)
FReepers have a wealth of experience with life and its gritty minutiae. For example: you guys are well aware of the lurking dangers of gut ailments. There are still things that can go wrong.
That caution aside, let me thank you all for your staunch support throughout this awful episode. Our prayers were heard, praise God.
+ Dear Christ +
This Eastertide has been a time of howling grief for so many.
May the victims of Sri Lanka, living and dead, find consolation and eternal life. May all spirits of evil be thrust down to hell. And may all abortion mills be stopped.
Against this backdrop of monstrous human atrocity, I thank you for Jak's life. Our family has been - very lightly - harrowed. May new life grow in us.
Thanks be to God!
Amen.
Thank you for the report.
God is Faithful.
Prayers up for you and your nephew!
Praise God for the Good News!
I have found that, one of the best ways to overcome personal difficulties,
is to consider the plight of others that are suffering and pray for them.
Prayers continue.

Hope Jak continues healing and recovers fully soon!
Amen to all the prayers in your post...
Thank Gd.prayers continue.
I agree wholeheartedly.
I can’t help thinking about that Danish billionaire who lost three children in the Sri Lanka atrocity.
His is just one of the more visible stories of horror and loss from that day.
And ... the entire Sri Lanka blood-bath is silently replicated every three weeks by one abortion clinic a few miles from where I’m sitting.
We can’t imagine the totality of it. All that sin and death, in just a short period of time.
But Christ carries it, and all of it, from all time. We get to carry a tiny, tiny sliver of His cross.
Holy is God. Holy and Strong.
Amen!
:)
