Most people wont know what Naf Naf means, but they keep coming back for the hummus and falafel. According to research firm Technomics ranking of the top 500 restaurant chains in the U.S., Naf Naf Middle Eastern Grill is one of the countrys fastest-growing eateries, with sales that spiked 58% in 2017. In 2018 it grew to 36 units, all company-owned, with two more planned for 2019.
Naf Naf actually means fan the flame in Hebrew and suggests encouraging friends and family to come together for a meal.
But the chain has also had to overcome tragedy when cofounder Sahar Sander died suddenly on June 1, 2018 of a heart attack at age 47. He and Elan Burger, now the firms vice president of facilities, turned a 1,200-square-foot former Taco Bell outlet located in Naperville, Illinois into the first Naf Naf Grill in 2009.
As many Americans are grappling with obesity and health concerns, some savvy consumers are turning away from high calorie cheeseburgers and fries and turning toward healthier Mediterranean diets. Naf Naf Grill caters to their needs, as do a number of growing Middle Eastern chains like the Halal Guys, Mamouns Falafels and Semson, a Lebanese chain.

As long as the food is good and healthy and the prices are reasonable, good.

I would rather eat kosher than muslin.
We ate ate the original Naf Naf in Naperville, IL, years ago. What I remember most is the old Grandmother in the back making the pita by hand. Loved the place.
I’ll skip the garbanzos and stick with my canned pork and beans.
Their eateries are located mostly in the Midwest. So far, there are none west of the Red River of the North.
Gotta check it out.

Love Falafel
My go to spot is bongo Burger in Berkeley
I love good falafels. But they don’t love me. They give me more gas than the Israeli Leviathan gas field.
Yep, it's Jewish.
And me too ; )
Does the included spit cost extra?
